Couldnt Torres have had his surgery in November when he was already out for 4 weeks..Rafa waited..did not play him...now 6 more weeks!!

Taken from another article...

When you raise bonds you need to issue a prospectus. In every propectus you are required to outline potential risks to the potential punter contemplating taking up the bonds, shares or whatever you are trying to position. In recent years, with investor lawsuits becoming more commonplace, it is has become the norm to try to specify in the risk assessmenet every conceivable doomsday scenario that might occur no matter how unlikely or absurd. The goal being to insulate yourself against legal action later. That is exactly has been done in the prospectus for the bond raise. What is incomprehensible is that the newspapers are quoting from the prospectus in such a way as to make these scenarios appear likely, or even inevitable which simply isnt true.

What are you on about you muppet. Read my last article - Sell them all apart from Torres!!

I was not deflecting the fact we are having a shocking season. I was however getting rid of the manc WUM. They are in a lot of trouble as well. Maybe i should of typed Pot & Kettle and all that.

You just love trying to wind people up on here and hardly ever talk any sense around football.

Errr....

I always talk about football.

It just so happens, my very accurate, doomsday predictions for Liverpool touched a nerve with you.

Don't think your special mate, if the same decline was evident with Chelsea at the start of the year, I would have been on them.

I just enjoying getting things right - doesn't everyone?

The fact it happened in the face of unprecedented scouser optimism just added further spice.

Remember a thread with you, me, Redinthehead, and TalksRubbish.

You all thought I was wumming your poor form (having just been knocked out of the CL), but I kept stating it wasnt form, just the quality of your club.

I also attacked the foundations upon you are built. You laughed me off as some little schoolboy wum, but in essence all i did was talk about something which you got upset about.

It also happens that what I said I was bang on the money.

One bad season does not mean we are a poor club. You had a poor season last season but you didnt fall apart. Our MD stataed yesterday we have new investors on the way. The board has been approached by many investors and he is just working out who will be the best option.

The reason we all think you are a wum is evident in your posting. Your last 6 posts have been about Liverpool which you must admit is a bit obsessive. Maybe its just me thinking that because i do not go on other teams boards as soon as they loose.

That's were your wrong.

A poor season for you will result in finishing outside the top 4 - highly likely.

With only a 'promise' of investors, and a huge debt, static nature to the club (i.no new stadium, stars are ageing etc) it wont be so easy to bounce back from.

Our poor season last year saw us become the 3rd highest revenue generating club, and reaching two semis.

allbeit getting beaten well, but not so drastic?

My concern / interest for LFC is that, with no top 4 finish this year, and no concrete evidence of additional funds, the return to the top 4 will take a lot longer than you think.

Just look at how much the clubs around you are improving and planning for the future.

Granted i post a lot about the pool - but you must admit, seeing the decline / failure of one of the greatest british sporting institutions is enough to interest anyone - I mean, are we watching the history books be written.

You cant tell me that if United stumble down the table, and drastically end thier two decades of dominance, you will not be interested, and having some tongue in cheek pops at them??

I mean, who would have possibly thought, that the two greatest english football teams in the games history, are both on the verge of relinquishing thier dominance / superiority??

Its a funny ol game eh?

This is very, very bad, in a season that seems to go from bad to worse! I really hope Rafa dares to play some talented youngsters (Spearing, Ecclestone, Darby...) now, but I think that's wishful thinking... He'll keep on playing the avarage ones like Lucas, Degen or Ngog, I am afraid. I don't know where we will go to from here, but I fear the worst...

More bad news torres 6 weeks, Gerrard 2 and Yossi 4.....

I love Torres, but is anyone in agreement that we should maybe cash in to the tune of 70 mil and go and buy 3 worldy's?? i.e the 2 David's from Valenica would get for £50M due to Valencia's current financial state...Which would leave us enough to buy another 2 very good players

IMO Torres is one of if not thee best striker in the world, but he's starting to become a bit of a Darren Anderton. We might do worse than cash in while we can

You read too many red tops. Our MD only sadi yesterday that the new investors will be decided soon. We have a number of potential investors interested and the board are working out who will benefit us most.

We will have transfer funds. Yes we may finish out side the top4 this season which for me would not be the worst thing to happen. This will hopefully mean that the yanks will have to finally sell and if we have an investor that owns a percentage of the club they will be able to take full control a lot easier.

I find it quite amusing that Liverpool postponed the match with Spurs the other week. There is no doubt in my mind, having walked around the ground that it could have been played. It was clear that they wanted to re-arrange the fixture to an evening kick-off, when the fans are more vocal, giving them a slight added advantage over spurs in a must-win game. Unfortunately for them, they will now be missing their best three players for that game next Wednsday. Silly move lads.

Thank you for your incorrect assumption. I havent read a redtop since I was about 13 when I realised what they stood for.

The problem is, £350 million debt (there or there abouts) at least £400 million required for a new stadium, and a good, what £100 - £150 million for new players?

Now, obviously i know this figures arn't accurate down to a T, but if you were being honest, its not an unreasonable gestimate.

So, finding an investor to commitment such an outlay, when (assuming you fail to come 4th) the highest revenue stream has been closed off, and with no real guarentees of when it might return, poses a huge risk.

now, im not saying there isnt a billionaire wanting to take on the risk, but, the noise being made by purslow could be completely fabricated in order to escalate interest from one of the many parties who have expressed an interest.

i think you will agree this is a fairly normal tactic used in the world of corporate finance?

what happened to the dead cert saudi prince who was going to splash cash in this window?

again, im not saying someone wont take the risk - how woudl i know? but logically, the high level of commitment, coupled with the potential of champs league revenue may deter a few potential investors.

For the record, the climb into the top 4 doesnt necessarily take multi-million pound players - Reading showed us just that.

You dont need multi-million pound players to win things, you need multi-million pound hearts. We dont have those at present why we're deteriorating this season. And injuries seem to be key too. We have practically the same squad from last season with the only change of two players, and we went on a run last season. That's proof of how we're not a poor club, as many, many just love to hammer out amongst other things.

We're werent suppose to afford the construction of the new stadium, that was scoffed at and plans for that to begin have been supplied as to begin in April. We're having a poor form right now, the same poor form we was meant to have since Rafa came.

It's fine now, Cesc, for you to gawk about here like some kid with a huge lollipop bigger than the other kids. Your manager declared he would leave if Arsenal fail a trophy this season, so we'll see. Got many people laughing and pointing now, we'll see later if they still qualify to do that. Last team to do that was Man United at Leeds, before the FA Cup tie.

Right now, while I have less confidence in Rafa and the team, after watching yesterday's woeful performance, and the injury news, I'm still here for them right until the end. Suddenly it's the 'utter decline of LFC from which they will never return'. We'll see. Rafa is one person I'm annoyed with but he isnt the one put there playing,

I'm looking to those particularly who moan how they deserve a starting place. Waiting to see them prove so. It's another year for trophies, it's not for the top 4. If AC Milan can end up out of the CL and come back again, we can do it too. Forget these harbingers, they know everything and prove nothing.

Well it's been coming they have both been playing with injuries. Deep breath now itís time for everyone to step up, theyíve been missing for most of the season. Stick Babel and Kuyt up front and see how they go for 3 weeks. For me Ngog has not got it. We have cover wide with Maxi. Lets see what they can do with the head lads. Iím not a Rafa fan but itís not a time to throw mud stick together and get through this season. Still all to play for but we need to step up, players need to justify £60k++ a week.

Wow, Benitez must feel someone is against him this season. Losing your current 3 key attacking players is serious bad luck. Have we had such a unfortunate run of injuries in his entire time? At some stage this season Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Aurelio, Masherano, Gerrard, Benayoun, Riera, Torres, Babel (although he's pants)have all been injured.

He may as well turn to the youth and give Pacheco, Dalle Valle, Eccleston etc a go because we are screwed. Babel and Ngog aren't up to the job for that long and Babel especially looks like he can't be ar*sed!!!!
