Well that does not look good does it!

WTF is Sullivan doing signing players? Since when has that been the fat mans job? As if his sky interviews wernt bad enough!

If this is true why cant blues keep their problems in house?

I really hope its paper twaddle but there is no smoke without fire and this has happened before and looks exactly like the kind of thing that goes on down the Blues!!

At most other clubs I'd think nothing of it. But because it's blues I think there must be something behind it

I hope if is it true that Eck understands the board did it to help settle benitez and not to undermime him etc.

This happened with Bruce and the signing of that argentinian lad a few years ago.....an old saying "a house divided will not stand".

Like you said taity, I hope this is all just paper talk but here we go again.

get a grip will you...firstly its The Sun, secondly its already been done and if you look at the original post you'll see a blues link with Eck talking briefly about the guy...not once does he say he's not happy.

I think its a load of balls!

We need 4 fit CB's anyway whatever happens??

Has anyone watched his interview on blues world?

It looks to me like he has a boss eye?

Maybe there's a bit of family loving in Equador??

Or maybe I was drunk last night when I watched it??

have a look see what you think?

Well it getting done again then isnt it..

And it might only be the sun but papers are not allowed to just make things up and if they were they would plum for something more interesting than blues and a 33 yr old Ecuadorian!!

This scenario would be typical of blues and I for one think there is alot more to the story and to dismiss it so lightly is not only foolish but ignorant as well IMO.

Taity, all things are rosy in the house of Blues hierarchy.
The national red-tops have nothing better to do than cause unrest.
Big Eck seems perfectly happy to me.
Just google 'the sun newspaper and false stories'

Newspapers, especially the sun, twist and exaggerate facts to get a readable article but there has to be something there in the first place and like I say, why make this up? We love Birmingham City but in the main the rest of the uk and the world could not care less!!

The last week or so has not been typical blues, its been Great!! What I was saying this is not the first time the chairman at our club has brought in players without the managers consent and this current manager, who has not been here two seasons yet, has already fell out with the board publicly over signings.

To say it is a total fabrication on behalf of the newspaper is a little "head in sand" for me!

Anyway, true or not its something as a team/club we will just roll over, the new signings and hope for next season has created a great 'buzz' so well done blues and roll on the season and more signings ok

The main part of the story mentions the fact that Big Eck was not interesred when first offered the defender, but when was it?what was the asking price? wage demands etc, perhaps he had a preferred target that suddenly became unavailable, there may have been other reasons why he did not fancy him and may be the goal posts have moved since then,do the Sun are printing facts that are correct but situations can change.

We expected him to clear it up. However, and at the risk of sounding like so many who pretend to be in the know, I did hear something earlier in the week from a source I trust indicating Big Eck may not be entirely enamoured with Espinoza. I believe it's more a signing to help Benitez settle - should've kept De La Cruz lol.

He didnt deny it did he?
He said he was happy with the board (what manager woulndnt be?) and that the deal made "sound financial sense"... these are not the words of a manager are they? They sound like they have been plucked out of a chairmans mouth....

I think R.I.L makes a good point about goal posts moving but the important thing is that we will not let anything stop the positive momentum the club have right now ok

..................................................

Why? We all know they twist things but fact is they cant just pluck a story out of the air otherwise they would get sued!!

I think there is something in the story!

Again, if they have just made this up why choose that story? Apart from us who cares? Why not make it up about a more high profile club and player?

Taity, with respect my friend,
you are starting to sound desperate for some news that there is a rift between manager and board.
Why cant you accept the Sun is a tabloid who's stories are mainly fabricated to encourage sales, in this case the Midland area.
Fact; The Sun sells only around 8000 copies a day in Liverpool after their gross mis-informed drivel regarding the Hillsborough' disaster. Down from 300,000 before the tragedy.
Fact; The paper is famous for habitual lies.
Please Taity, ignore it.

It wouldn't surprise me if the story was true.Ferrari,Figueroa and Espinoza all have the same agent,Barry Silkman.I don't know what he has over Sully, but he seems to sell him all of his rubbish. The first two never got a look in,so that tells me the manager didn't want them. We'll soon know the truth if Espinoza doesn't get a game.

I'm pretty sure AMC wanted this guy as a squad player, however I think he's arrived to help Benitez settle.

From the South American football I've seen over the last 18 months Espinoza is not half bad and may suprise a few.

Midland 20- He has a point. The Sun is actually good for getting "Exclusives". If this "rumour" was totally out of context. Birmingham City could sue The Sun for libel. Making wrong claims. However they haven't.

Where there is smoke there is fire.

Also it was wriiten by Shaun Custis. Who is renowned for getting his stories right?

it's a load of old pony.

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish says reports he has fallen out with Blues' board of directors over the signing of defender Giovanny Espinoza are "ridiculous".

Jack- Let me play devils advocate?

If that is the case..

Birmigham can potentially sue The Sun..in doing so an apology would be made. They haven't so there must be SOME credence in the story?

It happened with O'Neil. He sued them for libel..and now they are too worried to report anything that may not be true in regards to O'Neil.

RKM, that costs money, Plus it is against the club. Now if it had been the board individually, might have been a different story.
