brewerstu (U13815586) posted Jun 25, 2009 No not having a go, just concerned quality players are being missed for whatever reason .If Pesch is excited about new signings lets see them !!. If as you say our only imput is to go to games and support at 15 quid a time i want us to be at least competative ,and not be watching a side struggling to stay in the league ,is that asking too much ?

OTEP1967 (U10104494) posted Jun 25, 2009 I am perfectly happy with the way things are going and we need to be patient. Players are likes buses sometimes in the pre-season. You wait ages for one and then three turn up at once.

1969Brewer (U11430311) posted Jun 25, 2009 What date is it today? Oh yes its still the middle of June. Players contracts dont run out until next week. There will be plenty of players picking up their last wage packet next week and then immediately signing for someone else to ensure July's pay packet.

TCbrewer (U14040578) posted Jun 25, 2009 It takes time to get the right players in no good just going for the first players that come our way , got to get it right as i dont think we have loads of money to spend if we get it wrong , sure pesc knows the players needed have faith .

brewersandpool (U13891981) posted Jun 25, 2009 im getting very excited at the prospect of pre season but slightly worried that we only seem to be after players out of contract- sure that means no transfer fee but if they are out of contract then there current club doesnt want them for a reason. And i for one will want pre season to be a short time when all the new players gel with the established before we begin life in the league. I will shell out my money for tickets and programmes and support the brewers, i just ask for some entertaining football like the start of last year and not to make up the numbers.

1stOfficial (U14048327) posted Jun 27, 2009 Chill out!.......good managers will not be rushed into obtaining 'instant success' players at the enormous finanacial cost to the club. Pesch is taking his time and rightfully so...aiming to pick players with the right attitude for the brewers. A slow build up is preferable to avoid the boom and bust football clubs we have seen fall when the finances tke a dive. I would put money on a couple of league 2 club getting into financial difficulties this year and losing points or their place in the league as a result. Nigel Clough and Ben have shown the way forward was to build slowly and Pesch and Rowett should continue in the same vein taking on loan players where possible...this is the way modern football has to run.Let those players who demand too much.... move on and join clubs which will regret it when they are having trouble paying the wage bill!

OTEP1967 (U10104494) posted Jun 27, 2009 Does anyone know what Lee Morris wants (or what his agent wants) and who else might be waiting in the wings?

wetmorefox (U10795307) posted Jun 28, 2009 I didn,t see Lee Morris play for you last season, but neither did I see him play for the foxes. The point I am trying to make is there are much better players than him out there and he is due another spell on the treatment table.
