Yes - his career was not going to develop and he's been given a large pay off I imagine. Its the best for everyone. He obviously has managerial potential and ambition. I hope he achieves what he is clearly capable of. We owe him a great deal of gratitude.

I note that Rylands Morgan the fitness coach has also left - he's taken a lot of heat i would imagine for the recurring injury problems which have affected the likes of Tyson, Earnshaw, Davies and Anderson. Obviously Billy thinks that there is no smoke without fire.

So forcing someone who has been loyal servant to our club for over a decade out of our club isn't ****ish behaviour?

This is just a pre-emptive strike by Billy, if things get rocky and fans turn on his back - who do you think they'll turn to for a possible replacement after pembos success at the club. There was quite a big support for him to take over permantly prior to Billys appointment. BD is clever enough to realise he is a potential threat to his authority, even if you are not.

- I remember Preston fans saying he was paranoid, I dismissed it as them just WUMing. I'm not doubting his managerially pedigree before you start banging on about how we'd be relegated without him, I think he'll take us far. This is just poor behaviour imo.

Oh, sacking Pembo was an excellent decision with regard to Billy, don't see how it'll benefit the club though.

Pembo is only 44, hopefully he'll forgive the club and we may see him as a future manager. I'm sure he's got what it takes.

Because he's been doing it for years with huge success - albeit only the reserves. When he stepped in he did an excellent job at a time when the club was under alot of pressure.

He's friendly with the players and back room staff, some of them - most notably nige - will still be here over the next 10 or so years, which is only a plus. In that time I hopefully expect him to take over a lower league club and gain some "1st team" experience - that's if he doesn't quit football. Which he may well do after the way he's been treated. He'll be very down-heartened.

In all fairness I like Pemberton, he did well for us in a time in need. The thing is as manager Billy should be given complete control and if that means he would rather not have Pemberton at the club then so be it. Good luck to him though.

Really dissapointed to see him go. When you look at the players he's helped to produce it seems odd tat they let him go.
After his 2 wins as caretaker i would have liked to see him given more of a chance to be the permanent manager, i reckon he'd have been good!
