Thats relying on the supporters trust letting it happen. How long should I hold my breath for???

Wish you all the best but can see it ending in tears for a club with a great history and tradition.

Please let it be true! I know money doesn't guarantee instant success: Shrewsbury being a prime example, but We wouldn't have to spend any money on a stadium just yet like they did. It seems too good to be true. I'd love it if it all does come to fruition, Myles suddenly decides he wants to stay as 'he's always loved the club' but we, in turn, decide we no longer need him!

Stags fan in peace.

I heard that since the end of last season there has been a virtual ‘bidding-war’ down at the lane.

A good friend of mine, Nottingham based, was saying that a group of millionaire business-men had been interested in the club but things had become a bit drawn out – perhaps this is why – they new of the middle-eastern interest and were holding out.

It does really beg the question, how on earth were County known about in that part of the world? Yes the club has history and tradition, no, massive history and tradition, but with the greatest respect, their success in recent years has not been great, marginally better than ours I’ll grant you but not by any stretch great.

Good luck to you is what I say! – And, yes, I really hope it does work out well.

And one other thing, if you spot some late Arab arrivals wandering round either the CattleMarket or The Meadows looking a little lost then please, please point then in the direction of the A60. Afterall at the other end of it is a Premiership club who could do with a little ‘spare change!’ laugh

Best news of the year. I'm willing to take the gamble, whatever happens it can't be much worse than what is happening at the moment. Come on you pies

One of the main businessmen in this deal is actually from Nottingham originally.

Something to get excited about and some positivity is exactly what we need.

If it's true, fantastic. I can't see who in the supporter's trust would vote against it. However, we can't expect too much. A season of solidarity in the top half would be fine with me, where we get a core group of players together that we can take up next year.

Of course, the major bonus is that we can attract new players (or old ones - Myles) to sign and this will be great. It will also generate ticket sales as more people will want to be back in the club. All round goodness, assuming it actually happens...

Good luck Pies... from a Forest fan .. you deserve a bit of success... and you'll soon be richer than Derby... haha...

Looks like you've made some decent signings for the division already.

A Sunderland and Hartlepools fan here wishing you guys all the best. Hope it comes off as Financial stability may help you contend at better the exploits of Forest and Derby!!!

Fond memories of visiting County and you still top the League in my books as regards Best Pies... However that was a long time ago, a 1-1 draw with Sunderland and Mick Docherty got sent off!!!

My Mate Snotty, Kevin Snowden, signed as a Keeper for your Lot - wonder if he ever got a game??

Shame about your strip and nickname though but!!!!

Can't believe this is happening to us. Let's hope it's not another false dawn (Scardino and Storrie) and we can finally get out of this godforsaken league.

Yeah I think we shouldn't get carried away too soon, but a decent performance in the league this season, along with some good signings could see us push for promotion next season.

Repeat of 1997 anyone? :D

I'll wait until this thing is signed, sealed and delivered before I get my hopes up - us County fans get used to false promises!

I think we're getting carried away a bit with the whole "Middle East" thing here and need to be sensible - it's a company with people based in the Middle East thats all.

Also the multi million aspect doesn't multi millions available for transfers. We've got improvements to stadium, the new training facility can be upgraded etc etc - the money will at least stop us having to live hand to mouth like we have been doing for the last few years.

However, I'd bloody love there to be shed load of cash and great players coming in - I really would! But I just ask for a bit of realism from everyone until the full extent of this becomes apparent.

Wonder if we could resign Best and McGoldrick???? winkeye

If you want realism, then they will prob knock down the stadium, build houses, make a shed load of cash and we'll end up playing on the embankment.
So, for the time being, here's to dreaming. I'm going to ride this rocket all the way to the dizzy heights of Div 2 and beyond.

Thats the type of pessimism thats synonymous with County laugh

Word of warning... they may make you play on the Forest Rec... and rebrand you as Notts Forest...

That would send about 59 million people into absolute confusion...

whilst i'm almost in some sort of actual happy trance at the prospect, i must remind myself to stay cool about this.

my initial feeling is, like domtom, along the lines of anything is better than the coma the club appears to be slipping into.

I hope they don't get promoted to the EPL as I won't be able to watch any Liverpool vs Notts County for fear that one of the teams doesn't get a victory. If they do then it'd probably be best if they drew (and then beat the Mancs winkeye)

If this comes off, I will travel back to Notts and run around Meadow Lane 20 times then break down infront of the Main entrance with a single tear rolling down my cheek, remembering the days when I was just 14 years old and getting introduced to Terry Venables in the Junior Magpies room. Oh for the good old days to come back, when playing Sheff Weds at home on a Tuesday night back then made me bored. How good would that be now! You truely don't know what you've got till its gone.

Really hope this is true, just what we would need to get out this horrible division. obviosuly you'd have to ask what player's we could attract etc.

Obviously the other shareholder's at the club wud have to agree, and if they are true notts fans then they would do this. What more could you want than to see nott's moving back up the football league.

Well, it sounds like it's going to be exciting times County fans.

Word of caution though, it's only worthwhile if the club appoints the right staff capable of getting you up the leagues.

You only have to look at Posh and see what a bit of investment and employing the right people can do, so I wish you all the very best for the future.

Cya in the Premier league some day biggrin

Why would someone invest in a relatively small club, next door to another club who have 4 times their attendance? They won't get their money back through the turnstiles,at least in the short term,so what's their angle here? I'd be extremely worried about the motive here and County fans should ask themselves the same question before getting too excited. Ask the investors why and what they want in return.

It's about time Juventus repaid Notts help in the 1900s - The Pies supplied the kit colours, replacing the pink strip they played in - by maybe loaning a potentially newly enriched club some of their academy stars who need toughening up as well as some outgoing seniors?

the investors chose the right club.

loyal fans and a nice tidy stadium.

they took one look at the s##### ground and thought it was so crumbling and decaying,it's only fit for demolition.laugh

the rams did their own version of demolition at the s##### ground last season. kris commons went into their defence and they crumbled. laugh
