Michael clarke cant bat and cant captain. He has been poor all summer. He is one of the main reason why Aus lost the ashes. If Australia keep playing him in the world cup, he might also cost Australia the world cup.

Can Australia afford to carry both both him and Ponting in the world cup?. Remember Ponting is also out of form.
At the moment, both Ponting and Clarke cant bat and cant bowl.

Clarke Should be dropped as a ODI player. Even if he does make some runs in the next few games, he is scoring so slowly that he creates pressures for other batsmen around him to score quickly.

Clarke is one of the best batters in the world on his day IMO, his bowling is very useful takes a few wickets but havnt seen him bowl much this series has he got a bad back again

I think its irrelevent who leads for this series as the whole thing feels contrived. Its obvious England would win this one to keep them in the series to boost ticket sales, ticket sales the only point of this series. I would judge Clarke in the test series.

I only managed to see the second ODI. I thought Clarke's captaincy was way better than Strauss's in that match.

PHILLIP

That is really a stupid comment!!!!!
So you saying that the game was fixed and on your theory England will win the next 2 for ticket sales??

On the WC issue Aus and Eng have no chance neither do the likes of SA (who I support) NZ WI and so on, Its Ind or SL im afraid as they got hitters at the death of their tail and on those pitches thats what will win you the WC!!!!!

If I was Australia Clarke would be bringing on the oranges at the drinks break along with Ponting!!!!!

Actually, the concept the game was fixed to boost ticket sales isn't so silly. The game only took place for ticket sales - the whole concept of this mini-series is daft. Who cares who wins it.

And if not, how come only one Australian bowler used his full allocation of 10 overs? Pretty odd thing to happen in a full 50-over innings, even if the captain hasn't got a clue.

I'm not saying it was fixed, just it isn't beyond the realms of possibility one team was trying a bit harder than the other.

Fixed? Interesting. 4-0 would make for 3 dead rubbers and the way sport is these days - driven more and more by money - it is an easy thought to entertain. Can't fix Eng winning 4 tosses in a row however. Luck with the blues as axe falls on green and gold.

Its not fixed but the players no the games are about money, not The Ashes. If England had puta younger team in their we could have held Australia, the three times world champions. 3-2 is inviteable.

I would like to blame my missus for Australia losing the Ashes as i think she is the last person left to blame. Oh and my dog sourth.

In a 7 match series. So you're backing 2 draws in a limited overs series. You're a brave punter or a stupid one. Either way I wish I was your bookmaker.

Wow. Some of these comments are crazy. MC has had a really bad series. He is lucky the other members are performing really well. His position in the line up is vital and he has been flopping.
That's what the main problem for Australia at the moment. The board is too scared to drop an experienced player if they are playing badly. Remember when hussy was dropped......he came back and he's back to his best! Ditch Clark and make Watson the captain!
