Im not that happy with the point to be honest, could have and should have had come away with 3. Dunno where the 5 minutes came from, However before the match I would have taken a point and probarbly predicted one too. (I wouldn't have taken a point in the 92nd minute though) We win overall against the unwashed this season, 6-2. Lets look towards spurs next weekend hoping andy carroll is playing and if he is for us.

very good performance but the reaction of the macam crowd leaves something to be desired, I belive if the fan hadnt of ran onto the pitch there would be no reaction my our newcastle fans, bad end to a game that as enthrawling .

Drab game usualy happens one excellent 1 and boring one.

As for the incident involving Harper this is 4 games at Stadium of Light were that been fans from the home sections on the pitch trying to attack Newcastle players when will the FA or some governing body pull there fingers out and punnish the clubs stewards have words with the police how much more is it going to take all it takes is 1 idiot to hide a knife on them and a player is stabbed does this really have to happen untill anything is done. All (fans) involved in violence home and away need lifetime bans from all football grounds.

I'd quite like Steve Bruce to just admit that we've outplayed them for both games without having to refer to the ages of the squads, which he did after the 5-1 result.

If he was Sam Allardyce and did his statistics he would realise that Newcastle's starting 11 average age in both games was two years older than Sunderland. If you include the full squads, the average squad age was virtually the same with similar age range.

Given that the average ages of the full squads on the two days were the same, doesn't that mean that Bruce deliberately chose not to pick the more experienced team? Do Sunderland fans feel that Steve Bruce has used this as an excuse for two rather poor performances against us?

Just a mention for Howard Webb as well. How Sunderland got away with 17 fouls to our 5 but we still each end up with a player booked is beyond me.

Regarding the "FAN" that came on the field - I'm over the moon that the fans in the North Stand didn't let him back in - there's passion and getting over-excited and ending up on the field and there's doing what he did - sheer stupidity and I hope he is never allowed to attend another match at the Stadium of Light.

Also re Howeard Webb and the 17 "Fouls" - one of those fouls was when Malbranque jumped alongside Nolan and Nolan collapsed like a girl - Malbranque is officially the 3rd smallest player in the league - do you think that should carry a booking.

The only booking came for a deliberate handball not for a foul. Webb was terrible yesterday and bought everything - how the "Clash of heads" between Ferdinand and Barton was even a free kick I don't know - should have been a drop ball

I'm happy with the point because thats 4 points out of 6 for us and 1 for them.

A point away from home is respectable whoever is playing.

People need to look at the bigger picture & the priority is staying in the league - 3 more wins should do it.

Kids are kids. OK he shouldn't have ran on the pitch but the goal meant everything to the lad and his emotions got the better of him. For someone to be arrested and put on bail for running on the pitch and barly pushing a player is just pathetic. The police need to just use there brains here and realise that people cant be charged for something like this.
It also seems that Sunderland fans are being blamed here. Remember your own fans dont rip up seats and throw them. It has to be the away supporters which it was. Sunderland fans was just celebrating the goal and chanting. But Newcastle fans reacted in a bad way and it should be them arrested for criminal damage. Never mind a over excited kid.

From a neutral fan, the game was terrible. Little wonder that both teams went out of the Cup to lower division teams. The northeast has gome downhill as far as entertaining football is concerned. Bring back Milburn and Shacleton.
