Was that really Foster's fault?

On the BBC the commentators are blaming him but correct me if I'm wrong but it looked to me like he was unsighted and that the shot took a little nick off the defender.

wouldnt quite call it a howler IMO, mistake yes.

doubt it'll have an effect he's a top class keeper, nice maturish age too 26ish should still have his best ahead.

It was his fault but he made good saves to keep us in it first half.

That was the worse howler I have seen since Greeno fluffed his lines!
The ball got no deflection off the defender's legs and Foster's legs were so far wide open, I thought he was about to give birth!

The bottom half of the table is
11 Everton 21 -2 25
12 Liverpool 20 -3 25
13 Blackpool 19 -5 25
14 Fulham 21 -2 22
15 Birmingham 20 -5 22
16 West Brom 21 -13 22
17 Wolves 21 -13 21
18 Aston Villa 21 -15 21
19 Wigan 21 -15 21
20 West Ham 22 -16 20

Birmingham don't need a new manager, they just need to maintain close games and some good results. Is it surprising that the teams below you have such huge differences in goal difference? They may produce a fight back, but I suspect out of the 5 of them 2 won't. Replacing the manager problem won't save those 2 and may yet unbalance you.

Birmingham allowed Carlton Cole far too much space to take his shot and in truth he should have really buried it. There were two cock ups, first of all Cole mis-kicked and didn't really deserve anything from his effort. However, the ball trickled straight through the legs of the Birmingham defender as well as the keeper and ended up in the net. A comedy of errors from both sides but I doubt West Ham are complaining.

Another typical biased article from the bbc. I admit Birmingham were outclassed first half. However in the second half we should have put the game beyond west ham (yes against ten men).

This report gives Birmingham no credit for their second half display and only focuses on West Ham.
