Dzeko signing is good for the PL

With Rooney and Torres off form and Drogba getting old the PL is in serious need of better strikers.

Much as I hate to admit it, I'm looking forward to seeing how deadly an attack force of Tevez and Dzeko is.

Te main problem for Dzeko is will he be given time to settle in and find his feet in the EPL? Such a high price tag brings its pressures with it, and if he doesn't hit the ground running, how long before the fans start questioning the signing? Right now it's not necessarily more signings that City need, but a more rare and precious commodity - patience.

Utd fan in peace.

He's certainly looked the part every time I've watched him and took us to pieces in CL last season.

I think signing in him in Jan is a good move, as I think it kind of gives him the rest of this season to settle in.

If I was a City fan (God forbid) this would be the kind of signing I'm looking for, proven quality and by all accounts a good attitude as opposed to vanguard signings of players of questionable temperaments.

I still think that you're a creative central midfielder short, and Mancini's attitude has to change in the big games, but I'd say at this point City are a shoe-in for CL next season.

despite this theres no way i'd change sqauds, only a few of your players have the right attitude to win any league, let alone the premier league and i dont think you have the right manager either. i actually feel sorry for him to have to manage players like adebayor, balotelli, tevez, richards. anyway good luck

Tevez will be off at the end of the season. You can't expect to have a player asking to leave and stating that he has had an inreconcilable breakdown in communication with the guys at the top to remain for much longer.
It's all gone quite at the moment, but that's probably because City have said they'll submit to his request to leave in the summer.

i'd love to see balotelli dzeko and tevez as a front 3 and silva yaya and de jong or barry in the middle, it's about time city played with an attacking midfielder as well as the 3 strikers

So what happens to Balotelli, Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and not forgetting Bellamy on loan? I think Dzeko is an absolute blinding player but you have so many strikers on a stupid amount of money. The ones I've mentioned are the tip of the iceberg who don't like to sit on the bench at all.

How must you feel if you are a youth player at City or even so much as on the fringes of the first team? Adam & Michael Johnson, Micah Richards... I think Dzeko will do well but the problem you'll have is the same as at Real Madrid and Barcelona. When you buy big and all the good youth players become disenchanted with life at Citeh they will leave. Fabregas, Pique and Dos Santos all left Barca because they thought they were never going to break into that squad.

Suppose you can just get your cheque book out to replace them... It is a shame.

They have so many strikers they should give as a gift one to Real Madrid.
No matter how dangerous the Dzeko-Balotelli-Tevez frontline is, they are worthless if they can't play as a team. Tevez wanted to leave and was unhappy, Balotelli has probably the worst attitude in football, and Dzeko is a very good player but not worth 27M.
