Newcastle United confirmed on Wednesday morning that they had completed the permanent signing of midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa from Olympique Marseille.

He's put pen to paper on a four and a half year deal.

Great signing especially as he'd not worked with the manager and could easily have walked away elsewhere in summer. Recent good toon sides have had a maverick French lad on the left wing and here's another.

I personally think itrs a risk.

He did look good but a leg break can change good players into average ones
