Sorry I think you put the wrong link up you must have been too excited about Hutch going, quite surprised with Chartlon getting rid of Parky though!http://www.thesackrace.com/competitions/walsall-sack-manager-chris-hutchings/
Bonser could have made the decision weeks or even months ago and given a successor the chance to assess the squad and look for replacements at the start of the January window, not the end. Right now, the No1 priority before they find a manager is for the caretaker to find someone who can actually score goals ...and Bonser to cough up the wages that anyone half-decent will rightly ask for.
Why would Phil Brown go for it, he admittedly behaved like a wally in his time in the Premier League but he did manage to get Hull up in the first place. Surely lower championship/higher league 1 club with potential is more his level?
Mark Kinsella is a good shout to take over. Might even get some extra people through the gates. Dave Penney would also do a good job. You don't want Phil Brown, he's garbage.
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves into a position of power should on no account be allowed to do the job." - about sums up the situation at Walsall. No-one worth having as a manager would be prepared to do it under the current "leadership"
Kinsella could be good.Staunton will of course express an interest lol
Darren Ferguson has been talking to the Chairman ever since he was contcted by your club. The first contact came immediately after he left PNE
'Darren Ferguson has been talking to the Chairman ever since he was contacted by your club'Good, perhaps his Dad will lend him Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney for nowt ...or more realistically, a couple of good reserves.
Isn't it amazing that Bonser gets rid of the manager during the January window. How long before a replacement is in place? A week? 2? The longer it takes the less time we have to bring players in.Given the above, Darren Ferguson would be the best bet as his daddy always sees him alright by loaning some decent youngsters, although I still think this will be too little too late.
