Sorry if this has been posted already, dnt know how reliable but a mate of mine who is a massive rl fan said he came across a story that kyle eastmond might be offered a deal close to 200,000 to switch codes to bath, his contact is apparently due for renewal next year and bath think they can tempt him over, i hope this is untrue as i have followed rl not religiously i might add for about 7-8 years and it would be a shame for rl to lose such a talent to ru

thoughts?

Well, he'll have already perfected the forward pass.

The saddest thing about this is that it matters. If there were other good 6s and 7s around for the England RL team, nobody would care. When Israel Folau went to AFL, I'm sure the Broncos just looked at their 20s squad and thought, "Just get the next one!"

He'd make a good winger or fullback in union, but never a stand off.

Eastmond must be tempted by this offer. He is dubbed the new Robinson and must fancy his chances of playing for England. He is on the other hand a bit injury prone but he is still young and hopefully he can shrug it off.

Personally I think he should stay in RL as it is a much better code. But at the end of the day Money talks and if Bath offer him a good contract then saints will have to bid him farwell.

Also I have to mention Union has a better International scene than League and Eastmond must fancy his chances of getting into it as to be fair there he would fit in a treat right now.
The International scene in League is poor, VERY POOR. There is only 3 teams Australia, NZ and England (England aint great). The rest are garbage.
Unlike Union, England Aussie, NZ, South Africa, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, they even have Italy and Argentina, and lots more....

So maybe Eastmond might be tempted by this too....

If he really is like Jason Robinson, I would love to see him on the wing, after a few seasons, would be great to see an inform back three of 11) Eastmond 14) Ashton 15) Foden. This back three could rival the 2000-2003 England backline boasting the likes of Cohen, Robinson, Balshaw/Lewsey...potentially.

As an RL fan, I hope he stays in our code, but he has to do what's best for him in the long term.
If swapping codes gives him financial stability long term, then which of us wouldn't swap?
I'd bee house hunting now...

We all must remember we do not have the same salary cap as ru they have more money and are better publicised than RL

There is far more backing for union perhapse we should promote our game more on the television not just with sky and get more advertising done on some of the large plackhards around the country

Oz have increased there cap and so should we to try and keep our best players we are going further behind
