SUNDERLAND - 32 SHOTS
BLACKPOOL - 9 SHOTS

Football is a cruel game but Pool took their chances. Great battling performance by the lads...Evatt / Cathcart minus the two miss kicks were tremendous.
Phillips...what potential this lad has, DJ and Vaughan were immense too.
SO PROUD. WELL DONE LADS

Sunderland fan here.

Can i say, honestly, if we have to lose a game at home, i'm glad it was to you lot.

I'm not going to whinge, (32 shots on goal is unheard of ain't it?)

I thought you defended superbly, your keeper needs drug tested, and our strikers had a stinker, but i tell you what, you are a decent side going forward, the lad who came on as sub, Phillips?, he was superb.

It's all about who gets the goals, so well done lads, we'll have you next year <ok>

Blackpool reaping the benefits of that weekend cancellation really; had they played their players would have been as tired if not more so than the Sunderland players. You have to feel for Sunderland. With that said job well done Blackpool what a welcomed surprise you are to the EPL.

The thing is ALL the Sunderland players had a weekend off at Man Utd because even those who turned out didn't really play.

It's all about sticking it in the onion bag.....

.... and Matt Phillips is a superstar in the making. Pace, skill at speed and a good eye for colleagues in better positions. Have liked him from minute one in game one.

Bring on the Citeh !!

If Blackpool's 3 games in hand were all won they'd be 4th in the table. Although that's about as likely as finding a dog that speaks four languages it does show that Ian and his team are doing a fantastic job this season.

Lucky for Blackpool a? they had days off beacuse all their last three matches have been prosponed. their players have had a nice break feeling fresh and energetic,, when sunderland have had to play 48 hours ago..cancelling games because of a frozen pitch is disgraceful,, how can you be in the premier league and not have undersoil heating..canceling those games can make a big difference towards the end of the seaon for all those involved

"cancelling games because of a frozen pitch is disgraceful"

Oh take your head out of your arse. Not all clubs have the ridiculous budget/loans that are required to intall such fancy systems in their stadiums. Just because its the Premier league, suddenly they all absolutely MUST have their games on.

Bee - just ignore him. Obviously a complete wuman whose profile proves that (s)he's only signed up yesterday purely to have a pathetic pop at us, whilst knowing little to nothing about the postponements.

The extended break has obviously done the world of good for Liverpool this evening. <laugh>
