Baggies fan in peace:

Gutted not to get a point out of today's game. Thought we played well first half and on another day the result could have been different. Our goal came a tad too late.

Just wanted to say how good it feels to be a baggies fan. Playing in the premiership and - going into today's game - feeling confident in our chances going to Villa Park...Progress indeed!

If we can stay up this season, I look forward to many more derbies. The area deserves top flight derbies.

Fair play to villa today, they took their chances and defended well. Good to see young talented players coming through as well. Hopefully, it won't be too long before the Albion produce a few first team players from our academy - the likes of Thorn and Hurst look promising talents.

Lets stay positive and hopefully we'll get the right result next week against the dingles and take the points when Villa come to the Hawthorns. Like I say, it's good to have local derbies to look forward to and to put the West Midlands back on the footballing map!

All the best for the rest of the season

Boing Boing!

Very true Costablanca. That's partly why we are above you in the league having scored 6 more goals than you so far this season

I was wondering how long it would take the old yam yam sour grapes to appear, all I have had for the last 2 weeks is rubbish off baggies fans and I have kept quiet, safe in the knowledge that the Albion had nothing to bring to VP, I was right of course.

If you spent as much money as you do time on trying to wind up local rivals, on a right back you wouldn't have seen Jara get destroyed by a rookie today and Wolves's Jarvis next week my old black country chum!

I think the Premier League is a breath of fresh air this season with WBA and Blackpool, Di Matteo will surely be offered a position at a bigger club within 2 years (no disrespect intended towards Baggies)

I hope Villa go down, would be great to see a club 'too good to go down' also may be the quickest way for Villa to get rid of the washed-up Houllier.

I'd love us to get shot of Houllier, but not at the cost of going down. I wouldn't imagine any of our players would have relegation clauses in their contracts - we could easily 'do a Leeds'.

Albion played well and arguably deserved a point but after the bad run we've had and bad luck with injuries etc we deserve a lucky break and maybe we got that yesterday. They can moan and say if Mulumba and Odemwingie had played they would have won etc but try being a Villa fan and having to play with 9 or so regulars out injured, cant have sympathy for a team with only 2 injuries.

Hope this can kick start our season and get 3 points next week against Wigan, the 3 after that will be tough but who knows, Christmas always tends to throw up some strange results. If we can get to Jan with a couple more wins I will be delighted
