Start Beckford. Hes the striker that looks like hes going to score most.

"Never thought I'd say this"Nice to see you giving the lad time to prove himself. How long has he been playing for the club? 3/4 months?I agree that Beckford should start but it would be nice to see "fans" giving players a bit more support.

He came off the bench to score the equaliser at chelski...Every time he comes off the bench he has more and more chances. Once he gets a good run of starts/goals he will score for fun.I think given time, and opportunities, he will be a prolific goal scorer for Everton.Bad draw for us today, we dominated the game.COYB
Where is the young blood of football in England , the more I watch the games on the weekend gets closer to call The Premier Foreigner League or the United Nations Football League, Wigan had 8 non-english player today on their match with Everton a colombian striker ?? who fail in the Banana Mexican League please give me a break no wonder will go out nexts season from the Premier.
PNLF - true, too many come on here just to bi.tch about the club!
How any Evertonian can find positives from that awfull performance is beyond me. It shows how much of a poor side we are at the moment when the manager thinks Saha is are best striker. Am i missing something here Anichebe who refused a contract yesterday is prefered to Yakubu? Moyes keeps telling us missed chances are the problem? The Wigan keeper had no more than 3 saves to make. Moyes is so negative he admitted last week if we had not gone behimd then we would have played the same as the first half Absolutely shocking what a negative coward. No pace, No penetration, No Strikers with a brain, No goals and No points just about sums us up at the moment and i dont see it improving anytime soon. We aim for Europe Moyes tells us a relegation battle yes battle not trying to pass your way out of trouble with defenders who could not pass the time of day Jageilka oh dear looks the player who started in midfield for Everton yes he has been that bad and on his recent performances Yobo will be recalled sorry but he has to be rested as his confidence is shot to pieces and how bad were Rodwell and Felliani? With a little more belief Wigan could easily have taken all three points. Baines, Coleman, Cahill and possibly Distan all worked hard the rest need to have a serious look at themselves. Premier League players who have no first touch and cannot pass a ball ten yards it beggars belief.

What is it with Moyes and Yakubu? The guy was just returning to form and then Moyes drops him to the bench; what does that do to Yakubu's confidence or sense of worth? Saha has come close to scoring often, and has a lot of skill, but is too injury prone to play a 90 minute game, so why not start with Yakubu and keep Saha back as a reserve force? As for Anichebe, he comes across as a petulant child, and hasn't really proven himself apart from the occasional goal in Europe a few seasons ago, so if he doesn't want to sign a new contract Moyes should sell him and put the funds towards a quality striker, because we are desperately in need of one. Again, if Pienaar won't sign maybe we should just sell him and move on, even though he'll be a hard act to replace.I do agree that Moyes is too negative and defensive minded, and just seems unwilling to learn that sitting back trying to absorb the pressure is inviting trouble, despite the fact that this is what's happened time and again. However, we have for the most part a quality squad, who are capable of greater things with a bit of tweaking here and there, so we shouldn't be too despondent. We just need two or three quality players to complete the picture.I really can't see us finishing anything better than mid-table this season the way things have gone so far. Perhaps we can use the rest of the season to rally our forces so that we can push back into Europe next season. There's still the FA Cup of course, but i can't say i'm over-excited about our prospects there this season.
"Wigan had 8 non-english player today on their match with Everton a colombian striker"Not such a great reflection of the Wigan team, normally we have a backbone of British players but are missing a couple through injury (Gary Caldwell, McCarthy to name a few). As regards our players from South America; Rodallega is one of our best players, and our best player of all (Valencia) is South American. Just because they are from unfashionable leagues doesn't mean they are poor players. Not the best match yesterday, but hope you improve and Beckford starts knocking in goals for you (as long as they aren't against us obviously).
