Anderson and other performances

Premier League Manchester United
comment on the article

Very happy with that performance, only problem was the lack of a finish.

Anderson was a revelation, I've been a big supporter and recently posted an article saying that this would be his season. So glad that he's continuing his recent good form and wonderful to see him score, doesn't happen often.

Park was very good, one of his best games. Always gives his all and works hard in defense, his recent attacking threat is a massive bonus.

Rooney and Berbatov both played well in terms of link up, just didn't quite click in front of goal. The chemistry between them both was brilliant, real good partnership going there, just not their day in terms of finishing. Berbatov especially just looked a little lost when he got his chances, played ok really, not brilliant and not one of his better games by a long shot but he wasn't terrible. Rooney looked like his old self a bit more: Fit, hard working, creative, he drifted, he played left wing for a while and didn't look out of place. Gone back to the Rooney of old, before Ronaldo left.

Fabio and Rafael held their own easily, Smalling looked a little poor, not great on the edge of his box and Amos was great. For a keeper of just 20 (I think) he looked calm, confident, and made a few good stops. I would have him ahead of Kuschack (spelling) atm. Can really see him being a good number 2 at for the next few years until he's ready to stake a claim for the top spot.

All in all, good performance, got the needed result. No complaints.

All i can say if we are depending on Carrick,Lord help us,he has clearly "lost it"For a big guy he cant tackle a paper bag.Scholes on one leg is better than him.We really need a class midfield player to dictate the play.

tbh as an arsenal fan i'm sad to hear scholes is injured. the game on monday will be fast and furious, so you lot having a slow guy in the middle who can't tackle would be great. i'm more concerned about carrick dictating the game, with fabregas being out.

i hate people that talk about football and now nothing about it. yes this isint the best UTD team ever but we do have talent in the ranks.we do need to spend in january. michel carrick isit a waste off space but needs replacing at the end of the season when he first cam he played well with his pin point long balls and quick one two passes he,he slacking now.he isit world class but he is in the team to feel space now. if we get Schweinstieger, anderson or schools has to go coz he is an creative attacking mid witch we have anderson and others in that position already it would be better to get him at the end of the season when scholes retires. no disrespect but i know more about football than more than half of you guys and am only 15.

and another thing anderson is a talent and love him to bits, but he needs to prove a point at united to succeed, by assiting alot of goals and the only wasy he can do that is not getting injured and being on form so he starts matches. if he keeps on getting injured and not getting into the starting line up most of the time then he will out the door in 2011/2012 season, but all regards to that played good in recent matches

Haha! The only chance we have of winning anything is Michael Carrick?
Biggest joke line of the year.

Anderson needs to work on his right foot and his shooting ability, its actually embarrasing, hes been at united 3 years and his shooting still seems to suck, actually terrible, other than that hes looking pretty sharp.

Get berbatov out biggest flop in the world and no way near consistent enough to be a man united player. Give Hernandez a chance i say, im sure he would have taken the chances Berbatov had and actually finished them last night. We need to buy a central midfielder and a forward for backup, maybe give one of the reserves a go.....

John Preece - I agree sadly, I don't think Carrick has ever fulfilled his potential, and honestly if United could get 5-10m for him (Harry would prob have him back, nice profit for Spurs), they should do.

Fletcher is twice the player Carrick is, and we need a little destroyer in there too - I would love Cattermole from Sunderland actually, Gardner from Birmingham, or Fabrice Muamba from Bolton - all could do a Makelele-type job for United, and move the ball onto the 'creators'

Danny, are you watching the same United the rest of us fans watch! this is the same United team that lost the title by a single point last season to Chelsea. For the previous three seasons we had won the league title whilst losing Ronaldo and Tevez, two players the press thought would ruin our chances of winning anything.

I know we could do with one or two more world class player/s but we also have enough good young talent at the club who SAF believes in and is usually spot on with the youngsters he buys and who come through the ranks.

If rumours are true about Harry Redknapp wanting Carrick at spurs i for one would like to see if there is could be a player-plus-cash deal done for either Tom Huddlestone (ideal replacement for Carrick and someone who could run a game for United in a Scholes-like-way) or Gareth Bale.
