Away Form

Premier League Manchester United
comment on the article

We had another draw today and I'm getting annoyed now, so many draws isn't good enough. However I don't think its as simple as just formation or creativity.

We saw in the last 10/15 mins that our team is easily good enough. We switched it on and a very good Villa side could get no where near us. If we played like that for more of the game we could have walked it. For me the problem is that we have nobody of the Keane style captain mould. When he left Neville stepped up and was and is a good captain. Problem is he's a poor defender now his legs have gone.

We have nobody motivating the team, I have great respect for Vidic, he's probably the best CB in the world but he's not gonna get the team up and going if we start badly. Honestly I look at our team and I don't know who will.

This is where I play my bit of controversy, out of desperation more then anything.

Rooney.

He can lift the team and get them up and going if their doing badly, he's showed that before. Whether he's still gonna do that is yet to be seen but I live in hope, cos without him we rely on our fans, hence why the poor away form and good home.

To any Villa fans I was trying to finish it quick so I forgot to mention, well played. You deserved more then just a point and I reckon if you can keep hold of your youngsters then come 2 or 3 years time you could be a real decent team, easily Europa maybe more.

Now, United fans may be scaremongering but you look at that performance at the end of the game and there was no problem. In the last 10 mins we played like the best team in England, no less. What I've tried to do is pinpoint the reason that we don't play like that the whole game.

The clear explanation for this lack of motivation on the pitch, motivation we used to get from Keane, Neville and to a smaller extent Rooney. This is why we do better at home, cos at Old Trafford we have thousands of fans motivating our players, away we have less.

United have a very good first team, it's just they havent played together that much....if the first choices were available and fit they would be doing well but with Rooneys head, valencia's injury they have too many 2nd choices playing....which might be a good thing for the team in the long run....i was just hoping Berba and Hernandez would take this opportunity to stake a claim....If Rooney was back would he just be frustrated again and see red....he really doesnt rate the squad around him...I think the main problem is from defence, old legs cant cover or start things as well as they used to....

There is no God given right in this league to win games.
Yes without doubt Villa deserved a win.But Utd deserved to win in some of their drawn games.
With Chelsea getting beat at home it just shows. There is no one team going to dominate.
United will be there at the end I have no doubt.
Who'll win it this year? I honestly can't guess.
My head tells me Chelsea. but having watched this afternoon maybe not.

Don't be over dramatic, the only two sides in europe possibly better than the top English sides are Barcelona and Real Madrid.

--------------------------------------------

Erm, significantly better! In my mind, the sheer inconsistency in the Premier League just sums football right up in general. The quality is nowhere near the way it used to be; just look at the World Cup.

The Spanish will easily dominate football at all levels because the English media, and indeed the fans are too deluded. A teamsheet of Fletcher, Fabio, Evans, Hernandez and Obertan is simply a laughing stock. And you compare it with the likes of Barca who have Mascherano, Pedro, Bojan and Abidal awaiting in the banch. Let's not even mention the first XI... <laugh>

Barca are the best team in Europe, Real are yet to prove themselves.

Lets wait and see what happens in the CL before making silly statements.

<ok>

When was the last time Real madrid made it into the CL 1/4 finals?

Barcelona average as many goals per game as United this season. The barcelona fanboys that do nothing but rave about Barcelona can't have actually been watching them this season - making them the worst fanboys in the world

Rooney needs to hit form & fast. Utd looked out of ideas against a lively Villa team.

somebody said bayern are better than united? :D

i suppose you didnt watch United dominate bayern over two legs last Champions League then, United should have been in the final :).
Bayerns victory over united was such a fluke it was unbelievable.

Inter Milan are S**T dunno why people think they are so good? Even Tottenham embarrased them over two legs....
Their victory against chelsea last year was poor, chelsea deserved about 4 or 5 penalties, BORING side inter are.

Just remember United aint a one man team, as much as you want rooney back, will he be match fit? We are doing not too badly without most of our first team players not available. HOpe when he does show up, he can work some magic. 3 points below in my opinion is nothing... Long Live UNited....
