achieved cult heroic status?

He blows hot and cold, but the fans seem to absolutely love the wily Russian.

Super Pav!!!

Pav is a great player. Who cares that he misses sitters, he more than makes up for it. Just look at some of his goals (Young Boys, Bolton...). He is prolific and in time will become a great player.

First touch poor, pace poor, distribution poor. Most goals in the 6 yard box (Ex Young Boys & Bolton)Not a top four premiership player. Does not create for others.Lacks everything Robbie Keane has got. Spurs fans have short memories."All we want is a team of Robbie Keanes" two years ago.

Thabk goodness for the last few comments. Never happy some people! I like Pav and think bugsy60 sums himup well. He can't be complete rubbish if most of us like him - for goodness sake! Its beginning to sound like the North Upper row 7 grumblers I have to contend with. Its always anti- Benny, Jenas, Corluka, Pav - for goodness sake give it a rest and get off their backs.
You seem to forget that we had LOADS missing and if you get Daws, JD, Lennon, Hudd etc back then we'll be flying again.
Support them, stop knocking them. biggrin

I disagree everything dear Robbie Keane HAD. PAV is a very gifted footballer, he will miss some but he can do the special things to win matches, the volley against Bolton was top draw. Looking forward to watching the highlights as I have just got in from work.Gradually getting it together. We can do the rubbish next week no problem.COYS.

I love Pav, last year not given a chance I truly believe if he had a run of 20-30 games that is when we would see the player we all know is in there! chef

Yes Billy that was 2 years ago! He's comeback and he's been pretty poor. Things change and Keane has, he's injured at present and I'd say will be fourth striker anyway. But I accept your opinion.
Pav IS a good goalscorer but as today showed its a confidence thing. He could and should have had 4. What worries me is Harry's attitude towards him and I hope he's still here in January.
Pav, Pav, super Pav..........

Pav just needs to be consistent throughout the 90...

JJ was/is the same....but he has shown a willingness to improve...

Still think we should sign the new drogba or Dzeko if possible in Jan

Honestly i think Robbie Keane hasn't been good at all since he's come back. Apart from his 4 against Burnley I haven't seen anything, other than some good passing and positioning, but a striker needs to score. Pav, Defoe and Crouchy score, which is why they start ahead of Keane.

If Keane had played as much as Pav with a fair run and he will score consistantly, create for others and make space.More importantly he will chase and create up front, which is lacking at the moment. Also a footballing brain similar to Shreringham and Berbatov.Anticipates and reads the game. Can you imagine VDV and Keane linking? Love to see it.
