Good game with 2 footballing sides Everton having most of the chances but fluffing their lines somewhat.
Good freekick by eardley got the seasiders off to a quick start after good early blackpool pressure.
The more inventive everton midfield started to show after the goal with Arteta (the magician) at the centre of the proceedings ably supported by wide runs by coleman and pienaar after a few close escapes for Blackpool great cross by Yakubu and the best player in the prem in the air tim cahill powered home the equaliser and for the rest of the half blackpool dependant on a tight defensive four and a goalkeeper who doesnt look out of place in the prem

Half time Blackpool 1 Everton 1

2nd half turned into a real keystone cops of a game and before the half time tea had been drunk Blackpool took the lead the game started as it did in the 1st half with the seasiders taking an early lead Vaughan scoring a bit of a tramps pants of a goal a very scruffy goal scored by Vaughan but this was to be a different blackpool in the 2nd half.
Once again everton came more into the game and immediately equalised through the energetic Coleman who had been blowing hot all through the game it was all his making as he recieved the ball30 yards out and went on one of his direct runsending with him smashing it under the defenceless Gilkes the teams where once again level for the rest of the game it was end to end a highlight was seeing pienaar put nthrough but gilkes palming wide his effort also beckford being stopped by a tight blackpool defence
Turning point of a very entertaining game was Harewoods disallowed effort first i thought he had been blown up for offside but he had pushed jagielka earlier in the move
all in all a very entertaining game which both sides looked to win but although a draw was well earned for both sides
there will be better sides than everton going away from bloomfield road with nothing

Final Score Blackpool 2 Everton 2

Good to see Everton scoring a 22nd goal. About time we started netting more heavily. Felt it was a bit harsh blowing up Harewood for offside - a free kick would have been quite sufficient

Good game with 2 footballing sides

-------
Blackpool yes but not Everton who are more like a Rugby side.

Well if you're a girl that can't take rough stuff maybe.

We should've won, but not unhappy with a draw and good day out - of into pool for the rest of the night now.

Can't take the rough stuff? When we came out for the second half and started giving as good as we had been getting in the first half re. the physical side of the game, some your players began to look like they were looking to audition for the latest performance of Swan Lake. Marriner, who had already showed enough signs of being yet another ref in bed with the bigger teams, fell for it left, right and centre and then rubbed our noses in it by disallowing a perfectly good goal for nothing.

Draw ultimately a fair outcome in a game that both sides probably felt they could and should have won.

The ref had a poor game. Too quick on the yellow cars. There was nothing much wrong with Harewood's goal at the end. Ref was just not up to making a big decision and allowing it, safer to disallow and leave it as a draw.

Thanks for the positives guys
I thought Everton were better in first half and we were better in 2nd - I thought Coleman was outstanding and Piennar was superb.
Vaughan was best for us. DJ worked hard and Evatt was reasonable.
I thought both teams tried to make it a good game which it was! The ref had an average game! The lines man on the east stand side was appalling!
Im getting more hopeful as the season progresses!
Up the pool!

I think if you read my report properly i was in no way disrespectfull to blackpool i was merely explaining that vaughans goal was messy a bit like a tramps vest i am sure you will agree its not going to feature on goals of the season but may i say we both deserved a point in a very exciting game and all i will say is lets keep the pool up and not the red ones {{{}}}
