Stevierhino, Back on subject.

Yes after watching the PNG Vs Eng game and then this game between N-Z Vs Aus it was like watching reserve grade and then the match of the day.

Pretty sad really, I was hoping more from England.
But it is back to the drawing board I suppose, in saying that I do hope they stick with this squad, being so young an all.

Font you could say the same about the aussies, plus they had almost half there team missing.
I doubt the aussie team will change that much from the england game.

My point is that the Kiwi players probaly know they are almost certaing to be playing again next week whilst the Aussie players that have been brought in have a point to prove and are fighting to stay in the team. I reckon next week will be a close game and the Kiwis will show a lot more ergency scrambling in defence and diving on loose passes etc.ok The Aussies were very good mind and the Kiwis will have to play very well to beat them.ok

Next week will be interesting. I don't think New Zealand can start as badly. Although the worry is that it was both halves. Alot closer game in store, with the Aussies slight favourites.

England are definately third best, and on their own. Nobody below can realistically challenge them, and we are struggling at the moment against the top two. Nearer the top two than fourth.

45K attendance as well in the heart of union territory. Pity the Kiwis let their fans down.

The Kiwis have to take full advantage of these valuable opportunities to raise the profile of league in NZ. They had this opportunity in 88 at Eden Park and messed up and the code went backwards so they have to perform next week.

NZ blew the game by starting both the first and second half poorly. weird game, aus dominated the first 20 of both halfs, the kiwis the 2nd half of both halfs.
The kiwis were not good tonight and I expect better next week, although you would have to expect a Aussie win with the home ground advantage.

I thought the OZ forwards were brilliant in that first 20 minutes. Maybe Sheens thought of starting with the impact players to get a lead then bring the workhorses off the bench.

Ever since the talk on 606 about the 4N started, we have been hearing about the great English forwards. I don't see how any of them would have survived the first quarter of this match.

I've long been a major complainer at our lack of skill at international level but I have to say I have re-thought this after watching this mornings games. England were easilly better than PNG but also easilly well behind the Aussies. There are occasions when we outdo the Kiwis although not this time. I think this is down to more & more Kiwis playing in the NRL. But after the Kiwi v Aussie match I realise how good these guys are & it's hard to whinge at England for giving their all & just not being good enough. I think we will always be a bit behind the Aussies but England never giving in & trying to learn from mistakes is what it's about.
