Live - Tuesday football

Champions League
comment on the article

Wow. Did you see that Sir Alex Ferguson press conference? If not, you should check it out soon... or even right now:

Anyway, while the world tries to work out why Wayne Rooney wants to leave Manchester United, and where he might end up, let's crack on with a busy Tuesday in football.

Champions League and Championship are the order of the day, starting with Chelsea's return to the Luzhniki Stadium - scene of their defeat in the 2008 final - to play Spartak Moscow (KO 1730 BST)

Then Arsenal play host to Shakhtar Donetsk (1945 BST), along with a full programme in the Championship.

Enjoy, and follow all the action here: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

The Rooney fiasco is ill timed for Man Utd fans. I know how bad I felt when the Cesc saga was going on, even if this was a different circumstance. I do hope he will have a change of heart and stay at Utd.

I can't see him going to City at all but money talks, so you never know. They are the only ones capable of offering him the most lucrative deal but if he moved there then I fear he will be the most hated player by Utd fans.

If in fact he is going to leave, I would love to see him at Arsenal but once again with our wage structure that will never ever happen. But, if it was to happen I think that would probably persuade Fabregas staying much longer at Arsenal.

Anyways, I think he should just stay at Utd, the club has been good to him over the years.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion and so am I.... stop being a jack ass, by many Rooney is regarded as the best established talent in the country and there is no wrong to it to wish he was an Arsenal player even if it won't happen. I got the feeling u r passed ur bed time hours.

Anyone else think Alex Song has gone backwards this season? I'm one of his biggest fans but has developed a tendency to give the ball away in very dangerous positions throught this season. Scoring the odd goal doesn't make up for it.

- Would have to agree.

Other than Eboue who had a shocker tonight, luckily against a hapless opposition midfield, Song was the next worst offender giving the ball away and being out of position
