Keane needs to leave Spurs!

Euro 2012 Republic of Ireland
comment on the article

He doesn't look sharp at all.

In January, he should definitely put in a transfer request or go out on loan for the rest of the season.

Wolves would be a great team to go to.

Himself and Doyler playing together week in, week out would be brilliant!

Anybody agree?

Agree, Keano needs regular football and should move. At this stage of his career, he should consider moving back to Ireland and mentoring new prospects while also getting more playing time.

Why would anybody in their rightful mind take a 50% pay cut just to play 90 minutes a week!?

Yeah of course people would I bet Stokes took something like that when he joined Hibs from Sunderland and any other player would if they had any love for the game. Keane has his money made so him taking a 50% pay cut shouldnt be a big deal to him also Im sure it wont be 50% either

Well, he's just been linked with Aston Villa... yet again! So hopefully something will happen in January.

To be honest though, I'm not sure how Robbie's would be able to fund those sky-high WAG expenses on Villa wages. Doubt his wife would be too keen on moving from London to Birmz either.

"Keane has his money made"

?

Keane hasn't many years left so he will not be taking a big pay-cut.

Love of the game!? <laugh>

Yeah the love of the game, are you saying that R Keane grew up as a kid playing football for the love of the game or for the money ?

Also yes Keane does have his money made, he is at least worth 14 million so why would you laugh at my above comment ?

Finally if a player like Stokes can take a massive paycut why cant Keane. Cause if Keane was unwilling to do so i know i'd rather have Stokes from now on cause at least stokes is playing every week

Keane isn't in that position any more. Don't think he'd be thinking the same way either.

I presume Keane would probably have to take a much bigger pay cut than Stokes. You seem to know a fair bit about it though. What was the paycut Stokes took?

I apologise for the chuckle. I always have a little giggle when i hear phrases like "for the love of the game" when it comes to player's wages.

well since Keane has been a pro player since 1998ish and Stokes has only been a pro since 2005ish, that would mean a player like Stokes would not be sorted for life so him quiting Sunderland would be alot more of a money risk than Keane quiting Spurs

Also i bet Stokes would have taken more of a % cut if Keane leaves Spurs
