Before I continue to write this, you can either choose to accept this or take it with a pinch of salt.
DeMarlo Hale the coach of the Boston Red Sox is a good friend of my dad's. They became friends ever since both played in the Basketball team at the Chicago Vocational Career Academy. My dad also uses his executive box for Red Sox games also was there for 8-4 beating of the NY Yankees!!!
This is more about your new owners though and this is how they worked it out for the Red Sox. They came in and basically stripped the club down to bones, not financially but the team itself. They started to invest in what the club needed. Once a initial sum of $100M was stumped into the club. The club was then spending any profits it made for roughly 5 years back into the team. They now have arguably the best Baseball Academy there is and a team that works around Ortiz and Bachholz.
I expect the owners will first want to improve the academy. Good young players to come through to save the millions of buying players is a way they work. It worked for them in the baseball department having 5 of there main players coming from there. They will cut out the poor-average players and fill there slots with young and hungry players. Money will be spent on Liverpool but it will come over a period and not a huge cash injection.
Liverpool will become a force again under this new ownership. They actually will steady the ship for Liverpool and improve the team each year.
