Bring of take over?

Premier League Liverpool
comment on the article

Not trying to get hopes up...
Just heard that a party is very close to completing Liverpool fc takeover. Searched for a link bu haven't found one.

Maybe Hicks has given up?

BTW if we get taken over, does it mean all our problems are gone? We could still get relegated if we carry on this type of form with mostly class players.

You were a football giant and now you are potless and mediocre. Stop doing the sely pity thing and learn to support your side through rough times. Its not the Yanks its Benitez - How many times do you need to be told?

If someone owed you a grand and said that they would pay you back 50 per week indefinately and you knew that if they did stop paying you then you could still get the grand back in full - what would you do? RBS will refinance the yanks as it makes total business sense

It will certainly help but a takeover will not end our troubles overnight. It will takes a few seasons to rebuild / repair the damage!

It would not even have an inpact on the playing side until at least the new year either!

I disagree, I think part of the problems on the pitch stem from uncertainty and the general malaise brought on by the current owners. Therefore, new owners would be like a shot in the arm, and all the players would have to up their game if they want to stay at the club
------------------------------

So what you are saying there is players are playing within themselves because they have an excuse.

If thats true I'd sell everyone of them on principle

Spot on Redinbed, thank you for answering it for me ok

It is not the same but I play sundays and have had worries of my own on a personal level, not once have I thought about it whilst playing the game.

When on the pitch, they should be thinking of nothing but the game. Is this not what they get mental training for when they are young? To help them focus etc?

However, if you were in danger of not receiveing the 1000 back should you continue and hence place the 1000 on your toxic asset list then you may feel that it would make sound business sense to get the 1000 back now while you still can.

But they can get their grand back, they simply sell the club! Job done.

Was the original amount RBS lent 350m. Does anyone know how much they have been paid back in interest so far? If it is a fair amount, and they can continue to be paid reasonable interest payments then it may well be worth them refinancing the loan. I'm sure if at any stage in the future the yanks went completely belly up then RBS could sell the club for 350m with no debt. So the longer they keep the loan going for the more they make.

If the value of the club falls below the value of the debt then they would not get their money back. This is serious money and hence a serious risk for RBS, which is why the club has been placed on their toxic asset list as the risk involved may now be higher than the expected return.
