Morning again!!!

Brilliant news coming out of the club this morning.

Stuart Holden has signed a new deal at BWFC that will keep him at the Reebok until 2013.

Another great bit of business by the club. Getting our impressive young players on longer contracts.

Holden has certainly impressed since joining us. Has the potential to be the complete midfielder.

Check out this interview with Stu from US Soccer (filmed some time this week).

I love the way the presenter pronounces 'Bolton' and 'West Brom'.

Great news, quality player and still fairly young.

Nice to see a Bolton player keen to receive the ball in any situation on the picth.

I can see a song thread on its way. . .

and is still fairly young

-------------------

really? 29 years old for a striker isnt fairly young to me, but at the current rate if he stays fit I suppose he could have 4-5 years in him.

Hes a midfielder and hes 25, got a good 8-10 years left in the tank given the way he plays the game, rarely makes lung busting runs.

It could be the best piece of business since OC was offered a sideways step to us! <laugh>

Excellent. Best player on the park IMO.

At 25, he's pretty near the peak of his physical game, but he's always been the type to work smarter instead of harder. He could easily play into his mid-thirties, if he can just avoid the joint injuries. Mentally he's well equipped to age gracefully as a player, without the shock so many experience as the body gets ready for retirement after 30... As a damnyankee, I'm really pleased he ended up with Coyle at Bolton, in the parlance of the trade, this is a "good thing" for my national team!

As a Houston Dynamo season ticket holder (and Villa fan) congratulations to BW for this signing. He is a box to box hard worker. The Houston Dynamo have gone from best to worst (almost) since Holden left, much of it attributable to his loss. Good luck!
