Amazing, some good news on the injury front! Arsenal have just confirmed Gibbs hasn't fractured his metatarsal so should only be out for around 2 weeks.

Excellent news, at this stage of his development, another long term injury would have been disasterous. Here's hoping he can push on into the first team this year!

Gibbs will be our first choice by the end of the season. That's not a dig at Clichy - I'm not one of his detractors and rate him highly - but Gibbs is going to be another prospect entirely. He offers far more going forward (he has a reliable end product) and defensively he's very sound.

He had Lennon in his back pocket last night. Lennon is a player who has regularly given Patrice Evra nightmares.

People are banging on about Wilshere and rightly so, but I think Gibbs has just as much potential, and will be a superstar before too long.

How come every football match Arsenal plays, a player gets injured. Are they jinxed or are the players made of biscuits?

With the way Gibbs, Wilshere and Walcott (before injury) have been playing we're dangerously near having 3 English lads in the starting eleven!

That can't happen or else the media will start to run out of things to deride us with!

Also this could end up as 4 if JET gets a chance/when Frimpong comes back from injury or Lansbury improves on his passing. Nevermind Aneke, Bartley, Afobe....

Great news for Arsenal and the lad as he's got an excellent future ahead of him. I'd really like him to bring into the first team soon and I think he's ready for the big time.

Anybody know the score re Walcott, Bentner, Ramsey and Van Persie - when are they due back on the pitch?
