Good performance tonight, especially considering so many changes, which should give us a bit more confidence.

Great to see Tuncay feature and play well - were you watching Mr Pulis? Surely a place on the bench at the weekend at least?

In a way it's a pity we scored from one of Rory's throws as up to then he'd maintained his form from saturday!

Good result- really shows the strength in depth we have these days...and this is before we add Gudjohnsen to the mix!

Keep it up lads!

Stoke are thugs. Real thugs. How many players must Shawcross & Co maim before someone takes action. Its one thing being committed but persistant horrendous challenges is another. Complete bunch of thugs.....its not a coincidence that players are getting injured in these challenges. They go out to hurt players -they are that kind of players. Mark Hughes has very right to be mad about this thuggery.

Jenaguru - Wilkinson has been punished duly for his challenge, so you can be assured he has had a severe rollocking for it. Every Stoke fan thinks Wilko stupid for what he's done and it shows why he can never really be a regular in this league

Mark Hughes has every right to be upset with the challenge but he has no right for the unprofessional way he "shaked" Tony Pulis' hand.

Kempy's reaction to it, says it all about what bad media we get.

"It was an unnecessary, rash challenge - we know that, we are football people as well"

He said "we are football people as well". That to me is a sign of the exasperation the management have had over the bad press we get

Typical Wilkinson, dirty player, got sent off completely unnecessarily against United a coupla years ago, and tbh, I've been impressed with Stoke in general - kinda hope they make it as a consistent side in the EPl, great fans, terrific manager, exciting players like Etherington. Wilkinson is no longer at the level required to play for this club.

Well done Ryan Shawcross too, always rated him at United, good to see that he's getting games for a quality team.

Can i just say i hope there throw the book at wilkinson. After seeing Zamora get injured very badly in and coming together and then Valencia in same thing the last thing any player need to do was throw himself into a tackle like that.

Disgraceful frankly. He should be banned for 5 matches at least. He could of ended Dembele's season which has started pretty well.

I don't think tackling should be stopped and its horrible to see people injured but thats football. But it's a lot different when i player looks set on injuring another. In that case they should be banned for more than 3 matches

Erm... it wasn't that bad. It was mistimed and probably unnecessary to try tackle, but was it high, studs-up, two-footed or from behind? NO!

A booking was deserved and given. Dembele isn't out for long. Move on.

And CantonasCollar - Rooney and Ronaldo should have both seen red before Wilkinson was sent off in that match.

Here was the Rooney elbow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7beUFlZ-kQ

And here's Ronaldo kicking out at Wilkinson after a good tackle.

Hardly angels are they?
