Give this team time!

League Cup West Ham United

Now come on - 1-2 at Sunderland, a great result. We may be bottom of the prem, but let's give this team some time...there looks like too much quality there to be bottom for long and having played United and Chelsea in the league, we shouldn't be too unhappy with the state of the team. We may have turned a corner tonight?

Do not get carried away! Remember the team of 02/03 that was too good to go down? And of course remember Portsmouth 09/10, doing well in the FAC but still being relegated - and with Mr Grant at the helm!

But that away victory may, just may, give a kick start to the teams confidence and belief.

COYI!

Not sure about 'turned a corner', but it stops people getting on our case, and allows the team to hold their heads up.

We were poor against Villa, but not too shabby in our other games, then good against Stoke.

Given the players we now have, and the way the team is settling, I have every confidence we can have a reasonable mid-table season this year.

The 'rumour' about the dust up between Dyer and AG was made up tosh.

Spurs are getting walloped 4-1 with Lennon, Keane and a couple of others, think they've given up now. Might dent confidence, might get a reaction, hoping Arsenal don't score any more, might even be good if spurs got one back!

See the Spurs on Saturday then, no doubt they all be stinking of Farenheight!

From what I've seen of the Hammers this season, it seems that the players need time to get to know each other's game on the field. The draw at the weekend against Stoke was encouraging, and tonight's performance, a great result.

Let's hope the momentum now continues. Grant has signed some great players. All they need is to fire on all cylinders, together.

I think people have been getting their knickers in a twist way too early. We had a difficult start to the season and were never going to get many points but........we have got some good players and I think we will end up mid table.

I think Obinna, Piquionne and Barrera are all going to prove to be excellent signings.

The future is bright and its claret and blue!

As a hammer, I have very few requests for football from my team, I want us to play decent football, I want to see goals and I want a name I can shout and sing about at the matches. Great to see us win, Great to see goals from the new guys, Great performance from Scotty Parker! I am a happy hammer, I don't need to see us win every time, just the same football I saw last night and the points will come.

i doubt any result that may come our way this season will be as disappointing as that one. i honestly bilieved that with the form we have been in and the players we have, we woud've won this one by at least 2 goals. i thought the carling cup was our best chance of winning something this year, and really did have a great feeling about it. that all changed with one scrappy performance. i was very nearly in tears by the final whitsle, (but wasnt)

that said, well done west ham, i have a soft spot for you and dont think you will go down. but it will take a good few weeks to get over that one.
