Ferguson said in his press conference that Tony V could be back by the end of February.

Cracking news

He also confirmed that Berbatov will play on Sunday

To be fair Eduardo was never that good to begin with.

Well 13 goals in 22 games for Croatia before his leg break suggest that, in fact, he probably was.

Regardless, although I didn't see the incident on Tuesday, I'd like to wish Valencia all the best in his recovery.

It is good news that Valencia won't be out for the whole season but he will still take a while to get match fit. Players don't always fully recover from injuries like these and I think it is the fear of injuring yourself again. The whole incident has made me wonder about injuries and whether they are occurring a bit too often in the modern game. Bobby Zamora broke his leg very similarly just days before Valencia did.

You don't want Valencia pulling a Rooney now. Give the lad the full time to recover to be on the safe side! don't cut his recovery time in half and throw him in to find out he isn't fully fit.

completely. especially as it was his left foot, and his preference for the right will mean he'll be putting weight on it all the time.

I'd rather give him another month or two than rushing him back too quickly and aggravating things.

Valencia is strong and young he will be back like I said before this was annonced around march because it was a clean break which is good.

“Antonio had his operation and it was successful,” he said. “The break was clean and we were delighted to announce that. It was a major concern for us at the time.

“There’s ligament damage but we’re looking at the end of February, which is better than we thought on Tuesday night. He’s a strong boy and he’s very positive about it – being positive helps in these situations.”

Let's hope he can return & be the player he was before he got injured, or maybe even better!

Good luck Antonio.

I'd rather not hope for a February return, as much as I'd like to see him play again. For all we know, we could be straining him. I say give him the whole season to recover, just to be on the safe side, like Peter said. This could also give Obertan to get a run of games, more chance to gel with the team. Good luck, Antonio
