DTLW - As the author of this article, please just delete SuperPosh's posts. The ONLY way to get rid of him and others is to remove what they write. They very quickly get bored and move on.

But by authors just allowing WUMs to comment on their articles, they will never go away. Everyone should delete WUM comments.

Someone asked me a question, so it's only polite to answer...it's called manners. ok

Nope, I don't think so SuperPosh.

From what I can tell, your first comment was: "This appointment strikes of desperation to me, but he's a proven manager in the championship, albeit with the smallest club ever.

Nice to see Saints fans jumping up and down with excitement....it's been a while since you've had something to celebrate."

That doesn't sound like you're answering anyone's question. Justing an attempt to wind us up.

But any way. I'm not going to start a debate with you. After all, that's exactly what you want.

Let me break it down so that you understand....

"This appointment strikes of desperation to me"...all the talk of a top name manager and the fact Eddie Howe refused to contemplate the post indicates desperation to me when someone like Adkins is appointed.

"but he's a proven manager in the championship, albeit with the smallest club ever."...Scunthorpe have been punching above their weight for ages and they have one of the smallest fanbases in the championship, if not the smallest.

"Nice to see Saints fans jumping up and down with excitement"...a few of you think Adkins is the man to take you forward and are excited by the prospect, and why not?

"it's been a while since you've had something to celebrate."....recent history suggests this to be a correct statement, unless you wish to savour the LDV trophy that you're not going to win this year?

Sorry, I should have written FACT, but I thought it unnecessary at the time. ok

Well lets be honest about this...Adkins is a highly qualified manager with proven experience at this level...FACT. At the end of the day it doesn't matter the name of the club that's offering him a job that is the fact.

Adkins now has the chance to use that experience at getting Saints out of this league...we have tried a Premiership manager once and fell short of the playoffs last year and have started badly this year as the squad has been weakened in the summer and not strengthened...that said Pardew was not sacked for results it was off the field incidences so we move on and now fully support the new manager. I hope he can make a name for himself at Saints and not just what he did at Scunthorpe.

Howe hasn't gotten out of league 1 yet so would have been a much bigger risk for Saints I'm glad they made the right choice.

Here's a FACT Superknob.

When scouts visit St Marys they are housed in an Exec box with sandwiches and drinks etc. When scouts visit Peterborough, they get a seat and a ticket for a free cup of tea at one of the mobile burger bars scattered around London road. laugh

Such class...........

Well it's hardly exciting is it. A few weeks ago we had a proven manager with premiership experience who had just led us to a brilliant season - and we were quite rightly considered hot favourites for promotion.

Now our wonderful chairman has compounded his error in sacking Pardew by panicking and appointing a bloke who was the physio at Scunthorpe not long ago.

Having said that - I will get behind Nigel Adkins and give him a chance, which is probably more than Cortese will do. Watch out Nigel, if you don't win your first 10 games 5-0, your boss will consider you a failure and sack you for no apparent reason.

Good luck though - keep us up and you'll have the fans' backing.
