City is gang of mercenaries. Those players could not care less for the club, full stop. When Chelsea became overnight billionaires Jose M built a team. City managers past and present have failed in that respect. City will continue to drop points to the same teams that the top 3 slaughter, the manager will be fired before the January transfer window so someone else can spend another 100M on another lot of misfits at 200K a week.

yeah we all know players from Peru dream of playing for Chelsea and United whilst they are scratching a living, they would play for nothing for a proper club, the players on 100k plus at the big 4 clubs are there for the history blah de blah

more rubbish uttered from a tabloid reader

Yes because the tabloid's save them the inconvenience of having to think for themselves.

Any player who leaves his home town to play for another club could be called a mercenary, i.e. Scholes from Oldham, the Nevilles from Bury etc.

I remember when Giggs sold his pile to Peter Kay for 8m a couple of years back, he obviously hasnt being playing just for love.

Plus look at Chelsea, a few years ago the only thing they were famous for was Ken Bates wanting to install an electric fence to keep the hooligans off the pitch.

But why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Today's game feels like a defeat, how the heck Jo missed that sitter at the end is beyond me.

Still early days but I am yet to be convinced by Mancini.

Knew Clattenburg would show his bias against us not the first time either Hopefully his performance may mean he never refs a City game again. We can't lose points to teams like Blackburn the top three would have taken 3pts.

I always thought Mark Clattenburg was a decent ref but on to-day performance he is the worst ref i have seen for a long time, i am an ex ref myself and i usually do not criticise them but to-day his decisions were baffleing,he should either apologise (which he wont) or not accept any payment but donate it to charity,i am sorry but he just didnt have a clue.

The BBC Report states 'City will have to ....... overcome a capacity for making life hard for themselves to achieve that'.

You could write this about any City team of the last 40 years - they wouldn't be City otherwise. CTID

Did anyone else notice how MOTD are continuing their anti City theme.

Our first half "highlights" was one Adam Johnson shot that went narrowly wide, no sign of Robinson's great saves from AJ, SWP and Barry in the second half.
Also surprise surprise, they didnt show when AJ was felled for what appeared from my seat to be an obvious pen, I will never know now as BBC MOTD swept it under the carpet thus ensuring Clattenburg got away with diddling City and now as cart blanch to do again without being brought to book as can Walton and the rest of the regime.

I have been repeatedly modded for reasonable comment by the BBC mafia, no doubt this comment will disappear very soon.
And we thought Iran was a dictatorship.

Get real. Anti City theme? I've never heard such rubbish before. I'm sure these so called 'great saves' actually weren't as good as you thought. Your game yesterday clearly wasn't one of the best of the day, so why would they spend extra time on it, when games like Man Utd - Everton etc. were much better.

I pay my licence fee so expect fair treatment, the game you mentioned had already been screened live on Sky and received extensive highlights as did virtually every other game.

Because Leeds have the novelty of no city rivals they get treated in a fair manner, because of the press fixation with Man Utd, City get shoved to the margins, the attitude of the media has changed from indifference/contempt to pure hatred.

I doubt you would understand.

Didn't see the match, or the highlights.. but totally agree Clattenberg has always been punching above his weight. Wtf that guy is doing refereeing PL matches, I'll never know.
