Arsenal got lucky, but as Liverpool fans we were expecting to much any-way.
but a draw with ten men for most of game is brilliant.

Arsene, for goodness sake, start shooting on
goal more often, stop waiting for the "perfect" opening. Start shooting, good things can happen, deflections, rebounds, shaky goalkeeper hands (as in yesterday) etc. etc. etc.

"TAKE SHOTS ON GOAL" My girlfriend, a new Yank fan, watched the US play in the world cup and that was her refrain. I told her, you know nothing about football but you're absolutely right, most teams should take more shots on goal. "If you don't shoot, you can't score." A few minutes later Dempsey pushed one goalward, and Green, well...

Bobbie,
"Arsene" as in Arsene Wenger! Maybe the team needs to change it's name? It is Arsene who makes all the game day decisions, most of the players aren't old enough to drink!

What a boring game that was. Can't remember any period when it felt that either team was going to create goalmouth action.

Poor Joe Cole - can't be many players less likely to make a dangerous challenge. Shame about the lack of sportsmanship shown by the Arsenal players - they seem to have learned from Spain - every foul, scream at the ref - get 'em red carded - great for the game....apparently.

Arsenal looked dreadful in the finishing third of the entire game. They were very ineffective. Almunia as his old self, simply not good. If there was a time for a new keeper beside all the other missed oportunities, it was yesterday. Arsenal needs a good keeper. It is that simple. They will go no where with what they currently have between the up-rights.
This is early in the season but the sign don't boat well for this great team once more....

That is beatiful but simply ineffective. The game is not simply to pass the ball around, or to score many goals while allowing as many goals as they have been doing lately. The result is simple: They have lost many more games than the top teams (MU and Chelsea). In UEFA,Barca last year showed them how to realy pass the ball around: fast, accurate and with purpose: a goal at the end.
Arsenal once upon a time was like that. Now, they mostly pass the ball around. Beautiful but for nothing at the end.....

Liverpool must be awful then, because they had only 6 shots to Arsenal's 12.

Let's put this into context. Chelsea only had 16 shots in their 6-0 win.

You guys really ought to stop making up stuff to fit your preconceived ideas and reading the tabloid press.

Form your own opinions.

what happened to Reina is not entirely bad luck.
Why did he not punch the ball out ? That is what a world-class goalie should know ! surprised that he tried to grab the ball.
But, i am glad it happened <cheers>

Pool supporters can crow all they like but at the end of it all, they dropped two points at home. An away game at Anfield for a top team was never going to be easy since the host team have a lot to play for. A draw perhaps isn't too bad but Arsenal needs to convert their chances more and go for the kill. It's that or be killed.
