And you are assuming that Rio WON'T be injured all season. Given recent evidence, I'd say my guess is slightly better than yours.

Of course I rate Brown, but he gets a major injury at least every other season, if not every season.
Again, go and look at his injury reckord if you doubt that.

Evans is ok. Which leaves us with him partenering Vidic which is perfectly ok if neither gets injured. They may not, who knows.

But, just in case they do, then I suggest that yes, Smalling will play a part. Will it be major, I dont know? You are the one who seems to have all the definitive answers.

Now then sonny, don't give me a lecture on either United or our relative educations because I can, and will, beat you on both hands down.
Crawl back under you stone, if you think that by attacking someone's intelligence on the basis of a statment made based on years of experience of both the players in question and 35 years of watching united, and let's face it I could well be bang on, makes you in some way clever then good for you. Bash yourself off over it in your little bedroom.

For the record though, it doesn't.

This is of course good news for Liverpool. As an Arsenal fan, we are used to supporting a well-run club that - with all its shortcomings like not winning anything for five years! - rarely puts its foot wrong on the PR side. The same could not have been said about Liverpool last season. So on the grounds that this is an important part of the game these days, I think all Liverpool fans must be heartened by the way things are going. The key questions you must have had: will good new signings come? Will Gerrard stay? are all being answered as a priority it seems. Good PR from the club and an indication perhaps that the club is getting back to being together, focused and classy.

Chelsea fan here.

Very good news for Liverpool, and any football fan. Good to hear that such a famous club is not falling apart. I hope you will be able to hold on to Torres (eventhough that means we don't get him) and you can give us an exciting fight at Anfield that makes every Chelsea fan nervous.

J.Cole is an excellent mid-fielder, it's pity we did not have place for him. But in the team, where even Drogba wasn't starting 100% of games, that happens.

ManCity is beefing up squad beyond imagination, and it would be fascinating to play so many world class players.

Can't wait for the start of the season, which promises to be even more exciting than last one!

I like this guy....

Now then Sonny.....
Its ok for me to make statements about your club and players, and you must accept them, but dont dare argue back...

Does Owen show loyalty to Manu or to the cheque book?

What about Hargreeves - 25mill to buy him, plus his 100k per week, has he played a full game in 2 years?

i think we will get top four next season. last season was a 1 off and if fabregas leaves arsenal i think they will probably be the ones to drop out the top four. tottenham will not qualify again, their a europa side who only got 4th because we had a bad season.

Gerrard has been one of our best servants over the last 10 years and has at times single handedly won us games. he is a great leader and is liverpool through and through..

having said that, players have a sell by date and no matter how legendary you are at a football club, no player can escape the inevitability of age catching up on them which will mean a drop in their performance. Gerrard had a stinker of a season last season and I fully expect him to get back to normal. Having said that no player shold be bigger than a club and if an offer of around 25m - 30m came in i think we should have sold him

You really must be joking.
Fab was out for much of last year as was RVP and Alshavin but we still made it.

Reallistically I think you'll have a job to make top 6 next year.

I Know Hodgson is good but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
