27 million (confirmed from very sources) Barca must be laughing their way to the bank. You already have two good DM players in De Jong and Barry, what a pointless signing.

Yaya is now the highest paid player in the PL and the first to break the 200k a week barrier, he is on 220k a week. How an earth are you going to be able to compete in Europe once financial doping regulations come in?

When someone is initially given that much money undeservedly (not like Messi & Ronaldo) there is no motivation to go that extra mile for the team.

You would think City would start putting a leash on huge contracts and signings so that if they do eventually qualify for the CL it won't all be for nothing.

foreverblue94 sorry this is a bit late but Makele had a position named after him what? central midfielder? If players cannot tackle ,pass a ball ten yards and close opponents down they have no right being a pro imo these are basic footballing skills. Its only now with the crazy money in football and all the publicity that players like Makele are adored. Players like him and others have always been around its only with the lack of skillfull players in football that they are now seen as a player teams cannot do without.

Toure is quoted as saying "Man City can be big".
Last season the two clubs which spent the most money were ...... Real Madrid & Man City.
How many trophies did they win between them ?

200K a week for a holding midfield donkey !?!? The highest paid...(can hardly bring myself to say it) player in the Prem ???

Only City could make Platini and Blatter sound sane and reasonable and I'm sure this will do wonders for City's dressing room.

Madness
