which England have been involved in where the manager hasn't been ridiculed and attacked and I start with the 66 and 70 campaigns where Alf got it big time.
Capello was looking good for a while but bad start has meant that he too is included on the list.
Personally I don't blame the managers - or to an extent the players I think the key is self belief and confidence, while of course the manager has an affect on these the WC is such a short Cup competition it is very difficult especially as in the past we have had some bad luck such as 90 and pens. Spain I think have suffered in a similar way, while Germany thrive on self belief.
We have enough world class players but we need perhaps a lucky break or two to get the self belief going.
I think the self belief aspect is more important than tactics and systems.
