Ireland in the game until Kearney handed NZ a try and as we were on the NZ line and looking well in the game Heaslip got sent off for kneeing an opponent in the ruck (looked deserved)...end of game...brilliant.
Kearney had a shocker thereafter...
Andrew Trimble and Tony Buckley...best two players on the pitch for Ireland followed by DOC and David Wallace. Buckley ran all day, hit the rucks, carried the ball constantly andd his passing is sublime at times, the pass for BODs try was top drawer.
Trimble always looked dangerous and outshone his more vaunted team mate Bowe.
Darcy and BOD tried their best and when the game broke up looked good.
Also Dan Tuohy looked abrasive when he came on.
First half once Heaslip went off the game was over and the game plan had to change so I think Sexton should have come on for ROG at that time. Defensively we couldnt handle the waves of attackers especially in midfield and the ABs support and offloading play was excellent and caused most of the damage.
For next week..Sexton to start, DOC paprnered by Tuohy and play Wallace at No.8. Oh and give Rob Kearney another rest. Murphy when he came on looked impressive as always and threatened the line something Kearney did not.
Overall a match to forget but well done to them for the second half display which we lost 28 - 21.
