No one seems to have picked up that the 7% increase applies if you pay online!!! My season ticket has gone up to 680 if you pay online but 734 if you pay by post/phone or at the window. How can they justify a 54 charge for not doing it online??? The sooner these idiots are out of our club the better!!!!

7% isn't too bad. ManU and Arsenal ticket prices are still much higher. Single season's performance cannot be used as an argument. Otherwise, ManU should decrease their ticket.

My ticket on the Stretford End is 684. So no, ours aren't much higher. Get used to american style price hikes, especially now you've got no champions league income.

a lot of blame is going to the yanks, the increase has to be done to match the massive increase inplayer wages,if torres and gerrard stay then it will be worth the increase.

Up to 38.53 per game for buying in bulk it is just a rip off, before the yanks cames in I only use to 25 for a champions league ticket. I would be interested in seeing how much the yanks have actually taken from the club since they have been in charge, they brought the club for a lot less the 500 loan they took out against and they pay themselves and there offspring very well for the little work they put in at the club.

pogo,
The war for USA independence was lost, but not everything is the "yanks" fault! I suspect that your club has a lot of "natives" doing the marketing. I doubt if these two owners are coming up with these ticket prices. Maybe you should do some detective work and find out how the ticket price process works?

when the 2009-2010 price was set, VAT was 15%. VAT is now 17.5%, explaining some of the rise. depending on the measure of inflation you use, inflation is between 3.4% and 5.3%, again explaining part of the increase.

So why do you think the price hike is coming BEFORE we know whether Torres & Gerrard are staying or not?

It's so they don't lose out on our season-ticket money before cashing in on the family silver!

Considering others clubs are looking to get the following Liverpool players - Johnson, Insua, Babel, Benayoun, Mascherano, Kuyt, Gerrard and Torres, will their actually be a team to watch at Liverpool next season?

Assuming they aren't given away for nothing, then yes, as there is always the possibility of buying new players.

Not so sure that you can "buy" instant replacements for some of the names being mentioned: Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and Kuyt????? Especially when you don't even have a manager!
