Its a great signing because he offers versatility and I would play him at left back in place of the hopeless Bridge. This is exactly the top class, going on to become 'world' class that need. They need to build a team with strength in depth so they can compete when players are injured or suspended or need to be rested. The back up wasnt good enough last season and for that reason City failed to achieve 4th place.I can see another 4-5 signings.. 2 top/world class creative midfielders, another winger, and some strikers and I think this team will be ready to challenge for the title next year. I expect Yaya Toure will sign soon as the main Defensive Midfielder so I cant see the need for Patrick Viera...I just hope City get Gerrard or another top class attacking Midfielder. Thats what they lacked most last season in my opinion. Not enough creativity in the middle of the park...Whatever will happen, be certain of some top signings with Mancini at the helm. Thank God they got rid of Hughes..
"No, Hamburger SV are a much bigger club than City. They are 6 times German champions having won 1 European Cup and reached another final. They've been in the top flight of German football since 1963 unlike Man City who have been going up and down 3 different divisions for decades. Their stadium is also vastly superior and larger in capacity.Money doesn't mean anything, you would think some bluenoses would have come down a peg after wasting £300 million and failing to get 4th but I see the arrogance which is based on nothing still prevails stronger than ever."Awww a little rag wum has got lost and found his way onto our board. The things you mention are completely true and just as completely irrelevant, the one outstanding factor is money but you then go on to state that "money does not mean anything". Oh dear, have you not been paying attentio? It made a big difference to Man U as well as Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal although the latter have changed their policy over the last few seasons in favour of blooding young talent unlike your lot. And it has certainly made a difference to us in a relatively short time and we will continue to become stronger from it much to your annoyance i hope. Will SAF be feeding on the crumbs again this transfer window or will the Glaziers be letting him buy a mediocre player? I see he has now finally admitted that Berbaflop is not the player he thought he was by trying to offload him, that must stick in the throat of all the rags that have been defending Berba all this tiem?
"Your gonna ruin a lot of good players careers by leaving them on the bench. I can see Stephen Ireland being the next Scott Parker."You have no clue what you are talking about, Stevie Ireland was on the bench because that was where he deserved to be after lacklustre performances following a brilliant season before that.He seems to be suffering a lack of confidence and needs to get his act together if he wants to play in the first team. Any player that is good enough will get into the team, we have already given openings to 4 0r 5 academy players so do some homework before mouthing off. As for players bought in, they are only here for the money, aren't they? If not, they will be given their chance to claim a place like everyone else or do they do it differently at your club?
Cynical_Joe MUFC OK (U14170688)Money doesn't mean anything, you would think some bluenoses would have come down a peg after wasting £300 million and failing to get 4th but I see the arrogance which is based on nothing still prevails stronger than ever.-----------------------Envy is a terrible thing.
Never mind, I'm sure the Red Knightons will come up with a new £2 Billion rescue plan. I heard Jimmy Bullard's available on a free.

superwazzman"Bad signing guys average player at best."Most football pundits and those in th know including fans of other clubs have gone on record as stating that Boateng is youn but already a very good player and a great prospect for the future. So on what do you base your "average at best" comment, and which team do you support?
Most football pundits and those in th know including fans of other clubs have gone on record as stating that Boateng is youn but already a very good player and a great prospect for the future.------------------------I agree with this. I've not seen a bad thing said about the lad, apart from rival fans.
