Where the player comes from is of no relevance. While being a Liverpool fan, I have to say that I admire what Moyes has done here. Beckford could well become the steal of the season. I think he'll score a lot of goals for the Blues. The reason Ian Wright worked when coming from lower leagues actually had nothing to do with the leagues being closer in those days - it had a lot to do with him having Premier league pace. This meant that there wasn't the same step up that he might struggle with. If Beckford has pace enough to cause EPL defenders problems then he'll do well. If not, he'll probably struggle badly. I don't know the answer to whether he does or not.

dissapointed beckfords left, sidewards move really, cannot get much bigger than leeds united. I think he will do similar to alan smith when he went to man utd, score sometimes and but not that much. He'll wish he'd stayed when where beating everton in the prem in 12 months time
Ask Wes Brown and the rest of the mutd defence if Beckford has pace lol.Hes electric when he has the goal in his sights and has a great knack of ghosting in behind defences. He will score lots of goals in the prem in my opinion because he will get better service.Sure defences are tougher but he has pace and hes two footed, how many England players can even say that? not many ehh.He has also scored some fantastic goals from outside the box with both feet so if you think hes a poacher forget it he can score from anywhere.Mark my words hes the bargain of the season and im gutted hes gone.

Better vid ,come back Jermaine missing you allready mate, ahh well good luck bud.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZUPYfw5xMg
Hey mate Leeds will be back in the prem if not this season next for sure
I think you've got the right manager to get you there, not sure that you've got the squad tho or the money to improve it. I think the Champoinship is the hardest to get promoted from, and will be even more difficult now with relegated teams getting huge parachute payments from the PL.

What you Toffees have to remember is despite Leeds still being a big club, they were in League One. I wouldn't be that excited about a player with a conversion rate of about 20% in league one. Good luck to him, and I hope he enjoys the Carling Cup, because Moyes will soon realise he isn't good enough. He would do better at a club like Arsenal where he will get chances, but Everton are a poor side being carried by a decent midfield. Good luck Jermaine, we have Billy Paynter, who scored more goals than you last season at a worse club!
