Predict your Turkey GP top 10 (Race)

Formula One
comment on the article

This is the race equivalent thread of the qualifying one I posted last night. I actually predicted the top 4 correctly and wasn't too far off with the rest!

Anyway, the race should be interesting tomorrow, there is a bit of a dilemma for the McLarens. They obviously wanted to qualify as high as possible, but in qualifying 2nd and 4th, they face the distinct possibility of going through the first corner in 3rd and 5th. It's a shame really, because if Hamilton had of been in 3rd, he'd of almost certainly overtook Vettel for 2nd through the first corner. I have just re-watched the start of the Turkey GP for the past 4 years and it is almost impossible for 2nd to keep his place.

I think that once the race gets going, whether Hamilton is 2nd of 3rd, he should be able to stick with the Red Bulls, if not push them and therefore he has 3 chances. He can overtake them, pass them after they make a mistake (or have a reliability problem) or get them at the pits.

Red Bull have had a fragile weekend with many problems so im predicting as follows:-

1. Hamilton
2. Vettel
3. Button
4. Schumacher
5. Kubica
6. Massa
7. Rosberg
8. Alonso
9. Petrov
10. Sutil

I just have a feeling that Webbers luck might run out and he may have a DNF because of a mistake or realiability problem. I also think that Hamilton can handle Vettel in the race, whether he loses out to him at the 1st corner or not. I also predict a mini-charge from Alonso, but in the dry, difficult to overtake conditions, he will struggle.

So what is YOUR top 10 predictions?

If RBR are not driving to orders (which is against the rules) then it is unbelievable arrogance on vettels' part. Webber did nothing wrong. If I were webber now I would be a worried man. His contract with RBR is up at the end of this season. How much influence/pressure do the austrian paymasters put on RBR to have their preference given priority?

I guess the real interesting question that we need to get to the bottom of is the issue of the fuel saving mode. I read various reports that Mark and Lewis were both told to go into fuel saving mode before their respective team mates resulting in 2 overtaking manoeuvres. Was the different timing due to better driving, different fuel loads or running in the tow. This issue could decide championships and I heard no mention in the pre season assessments. Is this important now?

hey phlegmatic, how dare u call lewis s fans idiot. we all know there s a rat smelling in the mclaren team. just like webber, lewis was told to ease down but button and vettel were not. eddi jordan clearly proved that vettel is the darling at red bulls. so the question is ; is mclaren favoring button? the answer is yes because he was allowed to race lewis. if u guys can remember lewis was told to take it easy when he was behind button in they first one - two. lewis obeyed and stay behind. why on earth woundn t they do the same for button. everyone including button seemed to be very happy he had a go. all i am happy about is that they gave lewis the green flag to have a go. let see what happens in the future. whoever knows f1 knows button is nothing but a tortuse when it came to pace.

Well done to Michael Schumacher, finishing ahead of Rosberg for the 3rd race on the trot. It's good to see the great man getting reasserting his dominance on his team mate, who did race well it has to be said.

It seems to me that Button fans have a far more balanced veiw of things tham Hami fans, Button fans give reasonable arguements where as Hami fans just spout vicious bile and hatred at the slightest suggestion that somebody else could possibly support anyone other than there guy especially if that guy is Jenson.

There is a word for that type of thinking it is called bigotry.
