Fantastic Ospreys show they have the metal. At last I believe they can throw the title of under achievers in the bin. Not only did they beat a very good Leinster team but they also beat them in their own backyard. Two great tries and the ability to grind out the victory.

Got to say that Bishop was excellent and deserves a place in the Welsh team. Surely the form of the Blue's and O's will benefit the Welsh team with it's tour of New Zealand.

Is it true that Gordon D'Arcy is in talks with the O's?

Come on you Osprey's fans lets get behind the Champions next season and fill that Liberty Stadium, the team certainly deserve it now. Still need 1 or 2 key personal like another World class Prop to fight it out with Paul James (scrum still suspect) and lets see some new prospects next season, like Hanno Dirksen, K.Phillips, Tom Prydie. I would also like to see Ken Owens at the O's as first choice Hooker.

We should now look at next season for better things like more consistency, topping the league and that elusive Heineken Cup.

...and finally to all the Wums etc who put our team down....no gloating here I will just let the result speak for itself.

Brilliant performance to win in Favourites back yard.
let's hope the players can take this into ther summer tests and in combination with the Blues STARS get Welsh rugby going forward again.
We are proving we have the talent we just need to cut out the errors.
What's the bets we get eicester again in the EHC again next year?
As O's fans lets savour this result and look forward to next season with positive hope of inprovements again.

Eye,

It's a league final, not a cup final. If the final was played at a neutral venue, it would devalue a team's finish after 18 matches. With this format, there's always an incentive to improve on a team's final standings.

It's a pity Leinster didn't give Ospreys a better game, because the Welsh side really turned up today and probably had more in the tank. They just have to get that bit more street-wise and then they're serious European contenders.

"No team who wins a league should intensify the advantage they already have by being allowed to choose to play a final at home. It shouldn't happen."

===================

Why shouldn't it happen? they earned the home advantage by finishing top of the league.

If it's a purely league competition with no alternative venues in the minds of the organisers, then OK I can see the thinking behind competing for home advantage. Point accepted.

I was very impressed by the quality of the play in the first half with the support play by the Osprey's being top notch. They also missed about three odds on other tries which would have sealed the win in the first half. The second half was a defensive battle which they also won and throughout the match Leinster never became the dominant team.

Is this the beginning of the end for the Irish rugby success and will the Blues and Osprey's winning attitude be taken into the Summer internationals? Mr Gatland will have some fresh hope after these two landmark awayday victories but the teams Wales will be playing are made up of winners too.

This was a magnificent win for the Ospreys, who earlier did the double over Munster and not many do that.
Having home advantage maybe made Leinster a little too sure of themselves, but for any team to go there and play as our boys did is nothing short of fantastic.

WELL DONE BOYS.

By the way Mickado who WAS right?

Did anyone else see that Leicester won the English final yesterday and Clermont won the French final. Surely we must have an easier Heineken pool next season
