Come on Northern Ireland

International Northern Ireland
comment on the article

Come on Northern Ireland. Get into them Turks!!

Wish ye all the best lads in tonights friendly over in the USA against Turkey.

Have to hand it to Worthington he's a brave manager. Am i correct in saying he is starting 5 Irish league players tonight . And also a 17 year old schoolboy from Wolverhampton (Adrian Mole!!). Wonder will he have anything exciting to write about in his diary after the match.

Anyway, best of luck.

'Patterson is along way off from being poached by the ROI!

Their home based players have never had a look in under the Trap!'

Glad you consider those born in N.I. as 'home-based' for ROI, you're coming round to our way of thinking Windsor <ok>. True though that we're in a position where we don't have to select players currently plying their trade in Ireland, I'd consider that a good thing though

well TV I'd say these friendlies for ROI would be a good chance to give a couple of young irish prospects currently in LOI a chance to shine.

Remember it took Doyle until he was about 21/22 to get picked up by Reading. If he had of been given a chance ealier in a friendly he might have got picked up by an English club earlier.

To uncover a "diamond in the rough" from these friendlies is a bonus IMO

I remember Ferguson saying that from the pre season friendlies that if each year he could uncover a "John Oshea" he would be over the moon. You see John Oshea was a young prospect given his chance in preseason friendly and took it.

That could be true but there are so many scouts from English clubs looking at Irish players that it's near impossible for someone to not be noticed. Good result for you boys anyway considering the circumstances

Lets keep your gloating mode in tact until after the CAS have made a decision Tyrone.

Lets hope its a sporting decision and not a political one.

I'm sure they'll uphold the decision FIFA have made. Really there's no other conclusion that can be reached, it's an open and shut case

You do realise this is a football blog, not a politics blog?

So please refrain from insulting the country, in which I live in, on a football blog. Many thanks.
