The Daily Mail are reporting that Liverpool are considering making a bid for Pienaar!Personally, I can't see this happening. Pienaar has stated he wants to play in the Champions League, so that kind of rules out Liverpool.I think he will leave Everton after the world cup, but it'll be to a big club. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...

And NOT being an Everton fan I should've said before I get corrected needlessly for my 'poor' grammar...

JohnnyDutch - you seem to have your wires crossed... the debate is about Pienaar (well it should be) and the post you have quoted was with regards to a manager's judgement when signing a player, I do not remember mentioning what SAF has won in his time at United...? =========Oh, I'm fully aware that you didn't mention SAF's honours list, but that's why I mentioned it!Your obviously under the illusion that because SAF signed Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson and Bellion, means your player judgement is better than his. Also you failed to mention players he brought in who were immense for Utd. Cantona, Keane, Schmeichel, Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, and more recently Ronaldo, Rooney, Vidic etc!Basically your point was pathetic!
JohnnyDutch - I didn't mention SAF's honours list as it was completely irrelevant to the point in question...Point 2 - show me the bit where I said my player judgement is superior to SAF's? I merely pointed out that the manager's mentioned have purchased some poor players which again, was a response to the point in question...Point 3 - why would I mention these players? Again, what has it got to do with the POINT IN QUESTION??
comment by forevernever (U14429017)posted 12 Minutes AgoTony Harrison - Carragher is the shadow of the player he was a few seasons ago and I am the first to admit this. Jags played just 6 months last season didn't he before he was injured? Must've been a Hell of a 6 months if he was best defender last season...-------------------------I thought you probably had that much sense re: Carragher, I was just making the same sort of value judgement you made about me. Jags only missed the run in last season, he was injured after the cup semi final so it was over 6 months. He was our player of the season by a country mile.

You see me old mate, YOU put a different slant on the arguement to suit your own agenda, yet when I counter that with another slant, you don't like it, and attempt to dismiss it as 'irrelevant'!!Brilliant!! You ever thought of running for government?
As I have said previously I actually like Everton and if it wasn't for the horrendous start to the season I genuinely think a top 4 finish would've been theirs. At the same time though I'm not going to say someone is brilliant when they are clearly not. Everton have a lot of quality players though and they should do very well next season. Better than Liverpool I fear.
JohnnyDutch - what? You sound like one of those pricks who is never wrong... And I am not your mate.

i am a blue myself always have been, but you cannot say he has to much respect for the club, just look at the way lescott and rooney left they showed the upmost respect for the club when they where here but not when they left and there is nothing to say pienaar wont do the same or any other player for that matter :S
pienaar is a fantastic player and loves the club and the club loves him back.. but if he decides that it is best for his career to leave teh club then i wish him the best of look, the same with all other players that leave, as long as they dont leave like lescott and rooney did, and he will not go to liverpool on the simple fact he is not their style of player. he is a clean and honest player and liverpool wouldnt know how to play like him 0or around him.
