Yes, Elvis is alive and well. AND a Carlisle United fan. That alone made today a success.

Congratulations to all Saints fans on a very convincing win. After a good start by ourselves, your striker-power really showed.

But why did we give away that penalty with such an unnecessary handball?

Elvis was definitely inspirational when we were 4-0 down. But us singing: "You're not singing anymore!" had to be the highlight.

A really good day out, meeting lots of new fans supporting both teams.

Again, congratulations to the Saints!

Yes, Elvis was my man of the match too. Worth the airfare from the Far North for that alone. The countersinging was good too, and should be added when the history books are updated to the singing after the Swansea equaliser in Cardiff.

I also wondered if the best way to respond to Soton's rotten Mexican waving on the top deck would have been for Elvis to have conducted a wave which only went back and forth among Blues fans? But the man had done more than enough by then, anyway.

It wasn't 7-1, when it might have been, and it certainly wasn't 9-3 (if that's not a giveaway on my sympathies about "national anthems", which were the subject of an earlier article in this series, and I'd best shut up now).

As a North West based Saints fan, i thought the Carlisle fans did their Club and region proud!! It was a long journey (Carlisle is probably an hour and a half on from my home and i started out at 7:00am)and to take over 20,000 fans is a credit to them!!! What was great yesterday was that the crowd in Wembley represented football for the fans rather than the money!!

It was brilliant for the Saints yesterday, and i thought our Mexican wave was awesome!!!!
