Hes like a dug with a bone with this Kris Boyd situ.Hes desperate to sign him.I have serious doubts if Boyd would make a real impact in the EPL.

Not knocking the guy and the job he has done for the Gers but i just dont see him doing the bizz down there.

Stay at Ibrox Kris if you know whats good for you.

I think there is an hour long interview with Mcleish on Clyde 1 at 6.00 tonight.

Im sure he'll talk about the whole Boyd McGeady and Ferguson saga.

I think the fact that big Eck wants to take him down to the premiership in the first place, proves he feels he can score down there.

He is not a player to be going to old trafford and Stamford Bridge etc and starting games truth be told, but I think he could score against the majority of sides in the premiership (outwith the top 4) especially at home.

Steven Fletcher didn't exactly score for fun up here and he's managed a few down there. Don't see why Boyd wouldn't score 15 a season. My only worry for him would be that he might not have the pace for the EPL.

The better defenders would eat him up but against Wigan, Hull, Stoke etc he'd still score plenty, and if you're Birmingham that's what you need, top 4 games are pretty much write offs anyway.

Would be gutted to see him leave though. He's finally turned his attitude around and is improving as a player all the time. He could be another Super Ally style legend for us if he stays and finishes his career here.

A chance to see if he can do it in the Premiership plus a contract of double his weekly wage, and back with Fergie and Mcfadden in the team he would adjust quickly to the change, also with Mcleish in charge,i think he will go at end of season.

He can be remembered as the SPLs top scorer- until somebody passes that record. He can be remembered as a player who moved to England after performing well in Scotland but ultimately not living up to the hype. OR he can be remembered as a player who spent most of his days at Rangers and became one of the highest scorers in the clubs history. Scottish history books or short time fame and wealth in England. I know what I'd pick. Stay at Rangers big man, if you know whats good for you <ok>

If Boyd stays at Ibrox and continues to show the improved application then he would become a legend. If he goes south and to a club like Birmingham, he will just become another mediocre export. I don't think he will perform the same down south and I very much doubt that the Brummie fans would tolerate any poor settling in period. I agree with "Playing the Flute" he would be better to stay at Rangers. The offer from Rangers is good money in anyone's language and even the offer to double your money would not move me. I would rather have medals and European football than an extra few pounds in the bank.

IF BOYD GOES SOUTH IT WILL BE UP TO HIM IF HE SUCCEEDS.THIS SEASON HE SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED HARD AT HIS GAME AS I'M SURE THE RANGERS SUPPORTERS WILL ACKNOWLEDGE.PLAYING IN A BETTER LEAGUE AGAINST BETTER PLAYERS HE WILL IMPROVE AS A PLAYER.HE HAS IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY SINCE HE LEFT KILLIE AND I HOPE IF HE GOES HE IS A SUCCESS AND HE CAN SHUT ALL HIS DOUBTERS UP.

Never mind the question of whether Boyd could be a success in the EPL, I'd expect Walter Smith and Rangers to come out and tell Eck to shut his mouth about our players, we are in the process of going for an important treble and all one of our former managers can do is mess with the head of our top striker, with all this transfer talk.

How bout McCleish is told to button it till Boyd confirms what he is doing? if someone asks him if he is signing Boyd answer it simply and truthfully, Kris Boyd is contracted to Rangers, he has not signed any pre contract with anyone else so until he does or he commits to Rangers then there is no story and nothing further to discuss.

Im sure if this was one of McCleish's top players and another manager was out saying this stuff he would be up in arms, although its within the rules for him to talk to Boyd or mention it, it is just totally inconsiderate to do it as much as he is doing, he must know this will be messing the players head up, he is as close to tapping up Boyd as possible. What is he gonna do next? Come out and tell us he has already picked out a house for him in Birmingham for if he moves there?

Its just a dispicable way to do business.

Boyd does what he was born to do.
Score goals.
Nothing else.
But that would work providing they get the supply right and having a player like mcgeady there too would almost gurantee that so good luck to them if they do try and get them!
