Bland - Boring - Unexciting

I'm a massive F1 fan and have travelled to several european races, but i think the 1st race of the season was just boring.

Reasons:

1, No refueling
2, BBC presentation dull
3, Bland circuit settings
4, Other

1 Refueling adds to the excitement but all we are going to see now is a train of F1 cars going round and round, with no overtaking.

2, ITV had an exciting air about the start with upbeat music, better graphics and generally a good feel, apart from the constant adverts, but have you notice the BBC goes to a blank screen and some daft graphics anyway.

3, The circuit was just bland. OK its all sand but still at the end of the day it just looked bland and the drivers didn't even like it.

4, Can Jake please stop using sarcasm, its belittling for all concerned.
Can we have more car to pits messages.
When a race is early morning for us, we only get to see the highlights. ITV re ran the full race again.
Can we have some more exciting graphics and music.

bahrain needs to be axed from the season as soon as possible. to consider axing silverstone and keeping this joke of a circuit is almost laughable. they need to give the cars much more grip with wider tyres, bring back the refuelling and somehow distribute the airflow out the back of the car into a tow rather than turbulent air. and then simply let the best drivers battle it out on the track.

If you hear Jake talking about F1 on Radio1 then you will realise he is very passionate about his job and F1.

the bbc coverage is miles ahead of itv,s coverage ,and i agree with the lewis hamilton worship they showed..james allen been the worse culprit. BBC coverage gets rid of those ads with SONY products all over the place. Rule changes for the rest of the season...come on! the main moaners are LH, JB, MERCEDES , MR WHITMARSH..which for me just says that had they had a 1;2 or mercedes had a 1;2 they wouldnt be unhappy..

The new rules have resulted in drivers "managing" their tyres and fuel load. This isn't racing, it's the PC brigade's influence on a sport that by its nature is conspicuous in its consumption and style. Drivers want to race. Bahrain was a procession of Sunday drivers; there's more action on the M25 at much lower speeds. Let the drivers race. If heavy fuel loads rip up the tyres - give them more tyres! Why not have 3 or 4 compulsory tyre stops and let the teams choose which compound to use. This will let the drivers drive flat-out and concentrate on racing, not saving a few pennies on tyres.
Bernie - how much advertising revenue will you get from staging an exciting series of RACES as opposed to ones where watching the North Circular at rush-hour is more interesting?
Sort it out please!

I also believe the BBC's coverage is far better than the ITV's. That's without the continuity ruining advertisements.

So many years we have been told that 'changes for this season' will bring more competitive racing... I'm still waiting. Reducing costs of F1 are one thing, but when these costs make racing boring, it's time to go back to no monetary restrictions. after all we are talking the pinnacle of motorsport - let the big boys spend their money on anything they want.

The only person to benefit from these seasonal changes is Bernie.

the only person on the bbc team that is quite annoying is j legard. He seems to have something against ferrari as he is always quick to get a dig in at them..last season it was kimi knocking season and he was in his element trying to get those little digs in, i lost count how many times who uses the phrase blah blah is on a charge. DC EJ do a good job and fill the spare time with there musings. ITV I HOPE NEVER GET F1 BACK im surprised bernie hasnt approached sky sports yet plenty of cash available there.

I totally agree with the no refuelling rule! Unless something goes horribly wrong the start line up will pretty much be how the race finishes. No excitement!
