comment on the article

What ever they done to Binocular it worked because he was magic today and destroyed his opposition.

I been a doubter of him and McCoy but never Nicky Henderson and well don to all concerned.

I need to cry into my pint of Stout....some horrific day especially as i backed Bensalem in-running

Its worth lisstening to Nicky Henderson;

"If he jumps he will beat Go Native, but I am really afraid of Khyber Kim."

"Binocular will win a Champion Hurdle, I just don't know which year yet."

What about Binocular, everyone said he wont get up that hill, he got up it so easily today, that was the best performancce since Istabraq and if it wasn't for McCoy maybe leaving it far too late last year he would be a two time champ.

He said Zaynar will go for the World Hurdle, I hope he doesn't though, he was one who tried to force a pace and he is much more a hold up horse, he looked at one stage really beat but then started to rally, he is only 5 so he deserves on more chance before he goes for the World Hurdle, the only horse who can beat Big Bucks at hurdling at 3m. Considering much was against him here he performed really well.

Khyber Kim though a mention, he was awesome today, tried to stay with Binocular but maybe his stamina was tested too much, I hope he can win more pots for his trainer who deserves a big prize.

FP- Channel 4 have an army of researchers to do SA's work ? He's better connected than i thought ! My comments were a little bit tongue in cheek but would have been highly amused if BM had used it

Captain,he only would have used it if I had been on-course to remind him, just as I was when the 2000 Derby was run,and he used my "stat" there !!

No matter,I will remind him AND Tanya of it,next time I am at the track, and have E mailed Channel 4 Racing saying "I told you so" !!

Nice to be proved correct, and yes...I am most certainly enjoying it !!

I'm sure you are SA- and if Denman wins certain fellow posters will go into apoplexy which will be entertaining- didn't bag a winner myself but got ew money back with 2nd place in the first 4 races and left the last two alone..so showing a very small profit. Solwhit was the only outright loser but that was a bookies free bet so no damage done. With one of the big four going down i feel that at least 1 of the remaining 3 will also get beat but have no idea which. Good luck with MM tomorrow. Will go for Kalahari to place and maybe a forecast with the Master.

So surpise surprise a rejuvenated Binocular , owned by "legendary punter" and city financier J P Mcmanus scores in the Champion Hurdle less than a week after he was ruled out of the race by trainer Nicky Henderson. Henderson states he was acting on jockey "AP"'s opinion that Binocular was not the same horse who finished third in the same race last year. Curiously Binocular was then matched for significant amounts on BetFair at odds of 999-1 , before making a Lazerus like come back and taking his place in the line up.

What excellent publicity for the "Racing for Change" mob!

Apparently, the poster Joanna, says that "many" people picked Binocular to win !!

----------

Maybe these are the "many" experts your always quoting or using for your arguements winkeye

Anyway you should be comended for sticking with Binocular so well done arkly, like i said earlier today it was nice to finally see the horse Henderson as being saying he is.

Congratulations to all those that backed Binocular including our resident expert SupremeArkle.

His form had been so poor this season I didn't think he had a chance, but the trainer must have solved whatever problem he had. I'd just like to know what it was and how it was solved, or was it as much a mystery to him as it is to the rest of us.

Binocular has finally laid to rest his Cheltenham festival hoodoo.
