The winning mentality.

Premier League Arsenal

Now that is what Man Utd have been doing for years and that is why they're sucessful. Keep on going and believe. Playing beautiful and winning 5-0 is still only 3-points. Hull defended really well and I felt sorry for them - well I would have if they were playing any other team. We needed that bit of luck and pushed right to the end and we seem to be getting that mental strength and attitude ourselves. Let's not get carried away, it's only 3 points but it could have been so much worse.

need a bit of luck? Exactly where did Arsenal get the luck? 2 pens not given, hull goal was offside and yellow card a apiece for having a player slapped in the face. dominated the game as well. Hardly call that luck. Hull defended resoloutely when down to 10 men and deserve great credir for this but at the end of the day they still deserved to lose.

agreed. As much as it makes me cringe he does it to help the self belief of the team.

Got to be said though they really are hanging in there and grinding out the results better than the other 2. If they can keep doing this eventually they will overtake the other 2. Just hope Tores is fit for the Man U game. If he plays I think Man U will drop pts in that game (plus have Vidic sent off) but if he doesnt they will win that game.

I hate to get ahead of myself but that was most definitely a title-winning result.

Watch out Chelsea and Man Utd, the red army is coming for you!
-----------------------------------------------
Well Utd and Chelsea can't thrash you again until next season. The ballet boys will probably bottle it again. Well done on beating ten man Hull, keeps you in the mix!
------------------------

See the thing is people like you, Mr Mourinho, really knew nothing about chelsea until "mr mourinho" came in and won you guys your two ever would be premiership titles. If you want to go head to head with arsenal on titles i reckon chelski's worse off. Bring it.

That's how it will finish. How Campbel didn't get a red is the big question, Arse Wenger didn't see it I suppose.
-------------------

Seriously, chelsea really seem to think they're an absolutely marvelous team. Apart from two miserable FA titles and the fact they seem to be beating us of late, and of course a few miserable premiership cups, they've been utterly rubbish considering the kind of players, financial support and structure they seem to have. If chelsea are going to boast of premiership titles we've won three and they've won two. If they're going to boast of head to head wins we've won more games than they have. They dont seem to be thinking of the fact that their "promiscuous" players are hitting the 30 year mark, some even past it, like drogba, terry and a lot more for instance, and that the moment they can't retain these league of "title winning players" abramovich would have to roll out another set of millions for yet another white elephant project(of course with the millions abramovich spent on 'revolutionising' the chelsea team their achievements have been abysmal). So yeah chelski keep talking. It would be quick. You'll not see it coming and then the cap will fall of your head.

Of course if reasonable united fans talk about how great a team they are then i'll listen(even though we have a few obnoxious, loquacious and cantankerous ones like nohlman). Not a team like chelski who suddenly came under the spotlight under mourinho and abramovich and think they've always cultivated a winning culture(sorry, meant to say they've cultivated a whinning culture) over us.

Yesterday's win at Hull falls into the definition of "winning ugly". These are the kinds of victories that separate the men from the boys. Chelsea do it, Man U dot it, Liverpool??

Don't know what stance you were coming from but agree with you on the playing ugly aspect. Arsenal need to keep playing with this till the end and we don't do it enough
