Onions has not recovered from his recent back injury ruling him out of the 1st test.

Early hints are that Finn who has impressed recently is to get the nod.

Bresnan
Tredwell
Swann
Finn
?????

4 bowlers or 5

KP is a really good batter, he can break open any game for you guysm and against a team such as Bangladesh he can hit a few home runs, and clear the ball park so I am surpirsed people are talking about having your best player warming the bench!
He is one of your few batters that can bring the heat as he has some pop in his shot and within the space of an hour he can force Desh to have to play D.

if it is five bowlers then the two spinners along with i think Bresnan, Broad and Finn will be the likely attack. Assuming that Broad is not fit then Shahzad will probably take his place.

I remember Ark from his days as Tim Henman's number one cheerleader. He's had a couple of years since then to work up a new schtick. Two years used unproductively, unfortunately.

I'd like England to be consistent in selection, which means four bowlers. I presume the next time we are in the subcon, v India, we won't be going in with five bowlers. Although, arguably, five bowlers might be the better winning option in this series.

Not a big fan of Bresnan or Wright. If we're going in with two spinners, plus Broad, it makes sense to pick a seamer who was in the squad from the start. Anything else is kneejerking. So that means Shahzad or Plunkett. I'd go Plunkett. Shahzad always felt like a rather hasty wild card.

I am suprised that so many people on here think Wright should play in place of Bresnan.

I consider Wright an explosive one day player and a useful bowler but I cannot see him batting for long periods and his bowling is not quite there yet but he is improving and bowled well in one of the one dayers on a flat pitch.

I personally would go with Swann and Tredwell then Bresnan and Plunkett if Broad is not fit I would play Finn saw him bowl a couple of times he has it all pace accuracy and height gets wicked bounce.
