Clash Of the Titans

this is where the real champions league begins, this is why we love football with matches like milan v united, inter v chelsea, bayern v fiorentina, madrid v lyon, for me these are the stand out ties.

united have been performing much better since the leeds defeat, we all know how rooney is playing, also carrick fletcher park evans they all finding their forms again. no giggsy so most likely fergie will start with his favourite player park lol who had a fantastic game away to arsenal. good news is that ferdinand is back again but im not sure has vida travelled with the squad or not??

the bad news from united's point of view is that pato is back so is nesta (i was hoping pato would miss the match), milan been really inconsistent but u NEVER can write them off specially we got a poor record away to them.

i expect tomorrow's match be very tight but the away match is gona be much more open.

its quite unbelievable how fletcher has become so important to the united team, 2years ago only fergie believed in him now he is one of the first names on the sheet to start big matches.
everyone realised how important he has become when he got suspended for the final last season, im not saying we would of won that match but if he was playing MAYBE we could of controlled iniesta and xavi.

i've already put 50quid on rooney to score the first goal and the match finish 1-1 winkeye

'I find ManUtd fans' arrogance staggering. With all due respect MANU's team sheet today has 2.5 world class players = Rooney + Evra + Ferdinand discounted at 50% for match fitness and last 12 months form'
----------------------------------------------
Pato = Over rated, Huntelar = disappointing, Ronaldihno = Washed up has been, Nesta = average, Gattuso = Passed it, Beckham = Media mogul. To have a player like Beckham at 35 years old in your starting 11 speaks volumes. Why noy break out Maldini and Costacurta for 'Old' times sake. Filipo Inzaghi yay!! Give me a break, you've got no chance

I think Becks is wrong. This team is nowhere near as good as 99. But it is good enough to win win the league this season which has been a bit mediocre to say the elast. As for the champions league? Last 4 is possible but the final? Not this season. We don't have the strength in depth that we have enjoyed over the last 20 years. Too many also rans or never will be's on the bench. Fergie needs about 4 or 5 good signings next season. A world class goallie to replace Van Der Sar. 1 world class defender, same for midfield and someone to accompany Rooney up front.

Beckham could have been one of the greats in football, if only he kept all of his attention on football. Hollywood's / Hello magazine's gain has been Football's loss.

Another thing for manu to worry about is Scholes. He's well past his best. When he played against us Fabregas made him look silly. He was just fortunate that his other 10 team mates made Fabregas' 10 team mates look silly. If I were a manu fan I wouldn't want him to start.

Still can't see manu losing the first leg let alone the tie.

--------------------

I wouldn't go as far as saying Fabregas made Scholes look silly, but he certainly isn't the player of old.

However I think SAF discovered how best to accomodate him in the City game at OT, where I thought he was excellent. He sat back whilst Fletcher and Carrick did his running for him. With Rooney in such great form, having 5 in midfield didn't take from the team.

True he wasn't as effective at Arsenal, but at 35 he isn't going to be in his second game in 4 days.

Oh and would people just ignore the comments from nibs it's obvious hid sole purpose on this is to rib united fans!

Definition of world class at Man U will differ depending on who you support. Ronaldo was world class - no one will doubt that. Beckham ? Doesn't score enough goals. Valencia, Carrick, Fletcher ? Let wait till we've played both legs. By the way United players dont need to be world class individually. Their passing and team work is quite awesome. Great game ahead. There will be a lot of caution Neither will want to concede or even give the ball away and Fergie will play his little wonderman as he always does in these games - Parkie the unsung hero and I am not from Korea.
